I actually kind of started hating Fawad Khan now after watching his interview with Fuchsia magazine. He said that he is totally away from all sorts of social media and he doesn't even have cable at his home. His attitude toward his fans is so uncaring. I don't think Fawad is a superstar , coz he didn't star in any big project internationally. I think his only hit was Kapoor And Sons .. and he wasn't even the main lead.

There's nothing wrong in avoiding social media. Many ppl aren't comfortible with it. Fawad is an introvert it seems. And he is over critising towards himself. He isn't the only actor who doesn't want to do any dramas.. Fahad Mustafa said the same. If you see the quality of dramas they used to do, and the current ones.. if you see the amount of dragging in new dramas, and the long schedules you can imaging how demanding dramas can be.. and why old actors don't want to do it. Fawad isn't like those actors who refuse to age on tv.. he respects his fans and doesn't want to disappoint them. Ppl have gr8 expectations from him.

I am not his fan . And I don't think he is a gr8 actor. I think his success is because of his looks and huge fanpase.. 😃

I wanted Fawad to come back to dramas..but it is like asking SRK to do Television again at this point..and the answer to that is no obviously..if Maula Jatt actually works and from the trailer it does look like a fabulous product is coming from Pakistan...then there is no way Fawad will do a drama again..he looks at it like a downgrade..he is open to working in OTT space..but not dramas for sure..I dislike that totally as well, but frankly the situation with dramas is that the good ones are far and few..still anyday far better than indian soaps..which I am disgusted with how much Indian TV has deteriorated..and I feel very sad..but there are plenty of shows on OTT now..which are far better than Television in general..

Maybe if he got a deep project like Raqeeb Se or something like Jo Bichar Gaye? maybe he would do it???

No matter how annoying FK can get, and I so dislike how lazy he is..but everytime Fawad does anything on screen..I just cannot help but wait to watch him..shikaayat bhi hai, aur pyaar bhi lol

Well technically, he's not a superstar if one sees the amount of work he has done. However, the fame he got somehow gives him the status of a superstar. It is partially because of his looks and partially because the two projects (Humsafar and ZGH) he did were not just mega hits but also all-time favorites. The characters of Ashar and Zaroon are unforgettable for the viewers.

Fahad Mustafa's case is different. First, he was never as much liked as Fawad and none of his characters got that much fame and liking as Fawad's above-mentioned characters. Second, he's always present on Jeeto Pakistan so if any of his fans want to see him, he's always there.

Beside Fawad, if there's any other actor who gets that much fame and liking then it was Mahira. She was also following Fawad's path initially, but then she did HKKST and now, she's ready to do if some good projects is offered to her. Humanyon Saeed also did MPTH. This is the right attitude because Pakistani actors/actresses need to realize that no matter how much fame they get, they can't act like SRK. It is because in India, the film industry is so big that their superstars can work in many movies every year and then they come to TV for promoting their movies. In Pakistan, the number of movies are very less so even the superstars should do at least one drama per year. Yes, they should pick their project wisely and do not work is usual BS, but they should do at least one drama per year instead of keep hibernating at their homes for years.

The word 'hate' is very strong word so no, I don't hate him, but yes he irks me greatly with his long absence and uncaring attitude toward his fans. What I hate is the fact that he has wasted so many young years of his life. No matter how good looking he is but he'll also get older and his looks will be gone. He should have done some more quality work before that time.

I agreed with your other points but he is a super star. He gave mega hit serials in Pak. His movie khuda ke liye was hit.

He is a fine actor. Tho i wanted to see him in dramas again but that's his choice.

He should do movie every year to compensate his absence.

So he has 2 hits , none of them has him as solo lead. And 2 bluckbuster dramas in a span of 10 yrs. This is not enough to be considered a superstar. 😕

He was a siger once. He left singing as well. 🤓 Any way. I hope TLOMJ does well. And I'd love to see him in dramas again. He is very handsome.😳

If this is true at all then the channel and PH should do justice for Umar and Alizey.Osman and Mahira gotta admit will look very odd...shakes my head🙉🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

My two cents on Fawad. I personally think he should be allowed to avoid TV projects without any backlash if that’s what he wants to do. The issue I have with him is that he comes across extremely arrogant.

Both Mahira and Sanam have said it was awkward working with him, he’s grumpy, has an attitude, etc.

He’s Pakistani, born and bred, but puts on a hybrid American/British accent. He got his fame from two Pakistani projects, but refuses to do interviews in Pakistan. The two interviews he gave recently (Fuscia and Amina) were only given because of the huge backlash he got after refusing interviews in Pakistan but giving an interview to Anupama. I get major ‘wannabe’ vibes from him.

To top it all off, he’s a mediocre actor. The only reason he made it big is because people went mad for Asher/Khirad and Zaroon/Kashaf. Otherwise actors like Adnan Siddiqui, Noman Ijaz, or even Bilal Abbas, Wahaj Ali, and Zahid Ahmed run rings around him in terms of acting.
