Going by this logic sridevi, Madhuri,hema Malini too played similar roles.

Most of the movie Stories r similar hence the characters look similar.

People let their dislike of offscreen personality of actors be the judge instead of their reel work and personality. Prolly why some viewers call her overrated. That aside, Rani is rightly rated for her work and the roles she had essayed. There's so many iconic roles of her. She really did it all. Action, comedy, drama, romance, she deserves all the praise for her work.

I think Rani Mukherjee is an amazing actress. So, I don't consider her to be overrated.
