Yes yes and yes to all this.

Why use unnecessary cgi for normal scenes. They can literally shoot that 1st hill/waterfall scene or Sita on the swing scene in a real location. In india. No need to spend money on foreign location too.

everyone looks so bad in this. It’s like a bad mashup of many movies and series.

ps1 worked because mani had it in his mind since ages and an idea on how make it, he kept the cgi minimal and played on his strengths and sensibility, baahubali's 2 part movie gave him the idea of making it in 2 parts too

It's been the same in every Ramayana adaptation unless it's from the 60s/70s era (I'm remembering an old telugu movie here). The makers always gloss over Ravana and build an image of psycho to portray his grave mistake of capturing Sita. As it be, Ravana never harmed Sita in his captivity. He took great care of her. He was a great devout of Lord Shiva and even played veena with his intestines and tendons to seek penance from Shiva. Although born as a Rakshasha, he is worshipped as a God in many parts of India and Sri Lanka. His anger and ego got the best of him. He was a flawed man but absolutely not the kind of villain any of these movies portray him as.

She's a miscast, probably the weakest link of the film but her PR won't acknowledge this truth

I am missing Sagars and Arun Govil, Dipika, Dara Singh ji already.

Their Ramayan was way better despite no special effects.

This is weird and I cannot understand if it is live action ir animated film.

Kriti is miscast. No way looking like Sita.

Prabhas is MISCAST. No way fit to play Lord Rama. I am missing all TV actors like Gurmeet and that Siya Ke Ram lead actor as well now.
