Hi my lovely ladies, sorry for being late here, lately life feels like a gadho ki race, i feel like a 50 year old after every day's work 🤢
Anyways back to the episode
So neighbor aunty has more luck than Basit at knowing about Ayesha's family matters?🤪
Qudsiya fixing Ayesha's second marriage?.. Will Basit get the invitation for this?
Ayesha does not know whether she wants to stay with Basit?👍🏼
Fahad, Bano, Ayesha and Qudsiya, 4 log milke bhi Basit ko saach nahi bol paye?🤣
For 500th time Ayesha repeated the line 'Woh Khugaarz aadmi' , someone please ask Ayesha madam, where is her gold medal on being selfless? jahatak i remember, except kareem, all the characters here are pretty selfish right?😕
I honestly did not enjoy anything, 20th episode, the male lead literally requires therapies to have a stable mental health, but here all the self proclaimed 'selfless' characters pushed him to an extent of a physical accident too, what is this?
Wasn't the story supposed to progress as Ayesha being the one to heal Basit? But instead, she brought him more pain and I am sorry, you cannot be a liar and expect trust from your spouse, please that was his only rule, he chose you or liked you because you were never dishonest, baar baar 'woh khudgaarz hai' bolne se you do not become right.
Why cannot pak writers, ever write a sane and a properly developed female lead? Every Feroze show, except Khaani and to an extent Dil kya kare has bizarre written female leads, why, oh why?
Basit needed some space from trauma post his mother's demise, it is so difficult to not feel bad for him, maybe because he as a character is so well written and well performed, his silent tears cut deep through your mind, and the entire orphaned and lonely aura around him, makes him more helpless and crave for a bit of love and trust, which sadly he does not get from anyone around. In reality, people like Basit attempt suicide, I am glad the show does not promote any such thing, the more I like the writing because they addressed his childhood traumas and mental health, in the same way, I dislike the writing too to not make the surrounding characters more sensitive towards it.
Next episode also it seems like, nobody will open their mouth and maybe after few days zoya khud hi Basit ko batayegi about her kaand and then as usual 'khudgaarz' Basit maafi pe maafi mangega, and Ayesha will behave like the most mahaan auraat ever born from Qudsiya's blood line 🥱🤣
Such a relief to know that I am not alone who is fed up with "khudgarz" jaap 😳😳
That self talk scene in hospital where he says " Mujhe achha nahi lagta, meri wajah se koi aur preshan ho" can this guy really be selfish? Hell NO.
I am actually missing zoya in episodes... she needs to show up and tell the truth Nd believe me she'll say it so casually like there is no big deal .. and basit gonna take it same way...

You know... About Fahad and Ayesha I have a bit different opinion.. I think I will write more on that in the weekend..
Only because you are more pro Basit, I will be pro Ayesha.. Just to balance it out a bit 😆 let's have a bit of a debate, but no fighting with me.. Because I would give up and let you win anyway 😆
Ready? Let's go then...
The fact that things went wrong between them, is this only because of her foolishness? Things did escalate quite rapidly.. When I try and see it through Ayesha's eyes, I see: a man who choose me for my simplicity, only to close a business deal, who thinks very low of women, who is very dominant, who raised his hands at me, slapped his best friend for life and who will not listen to what I have to say but will make assumptions and will believe the demons in his head.
She praises Fahad, because she can see Fahad for what he is to Basit. He is his family, his to go person. A true one man support system. I think it is the love between the boys that attracts Ayesha.. I can imagine she misses Bano.. Basit might feel she took his friend away, but she is lonely too. And it is this friend who will bring these two back together.
Love is a habit some say.. Well these two have become more comfortable living together, that now being together has become a habit.. Love is there.. Somewhere..
Hmm.. Regarding Ayesha and Fahad speaking about Basit.. I would perhaps call it concern.. Not pity.. Let us forget for one moment that we are deeply in love with Basit 😆 it is possible right, to care for someone, show concern or speak of it and still be angry at your loved one.. Basit was also no Saint previous episode..
Hmm.. Going bonkers or not? The way I see it.. Basit did lose his cool.. The moment his insecurities set in, especially seeing these two laughing and having fun, and mostly seeing how Ayesha responds to Fahad and not to him.. He was jealous.. How he behaved when Fahad and mom came to visit, and at the dinner table was not cool and acceptable even though we can understand and it gave us The Carrot Scene..! 🤣
How do you like the pro Fahad and pro Ayesha comments? 😆 we can do a mid evaluation.. 😆
Fahad and Ayesha are just innocent in their intentions with each other.. And they can't understand how Basit can think this.. Such an outrageous shocking thought it is for them. Not only an insult to Ayet relationship but also an insult and a big slap in the face in their friendships and in brother(s) / sister in law bond.
Being in the car together.. Not a smart move. But was it bad, like forbidden? She could finally get out of the house, clear her mind and see a friend.. Why Fahad can only be Basit's friend?
Well with Qudsia I draw the line today.. No pro words to say for this woman!
The hospital scene was done very calmly and lovingly
If only they would speak up right?
Arre why would I fight over fictional characters? not my style😆... I be on forum just to hv fun nd spend time discussing show with lovely ppl here...
I am more than glad to read pro ayesha views... whether I agree or not that's a later deal, but there's nothing about making it a battle ground and win it anyhow ...lol
So chill 🤗🏳
Now coming to post, I am neither pro basit nor anti ayesha ... end of the day even I want a happy ending for a show nd couple I am rooting for.
I don't know if it's poor writing or direction but there is this major problem with current track where they want us to sympathize with ayesha while showing her a girl who is on mission to destroy her own marriage... I honestly end up sympathizing more with basit when I see fahad and specially Ayesha's attitude towards whole problem...
When you talk about basit's behavior after marriage, I see things lil different because they hv shown how basit changed every episode for a better person.
Even Bano can see it and voice it.. same bano who witnessed basit's behavior on reception and didn't hv much good thoughts about him, same girl in last episode mentioned how he is suffering too ..
If a girl who doesn't live with him can see the changes but not the girl for whom he is changing himself...
Even after that I understand somewhere Ayesha's insecurities and her not wanting to share about zoya to basit but what I am not able to understand is you are not being honest, you are being caught in wrong situations where all fingers point on you and still you want your husband to trust when all you are doing is staying quiet in front of him nd crying character ka rona dhona ... sorry I might be too harsh but I am not able to see her victim of basit's past... she is bearing consequences of her choice..
This is what happens in general too.. our actions hv pros nd cons and only we are to blame for it.
My problem with the track is 4 ppl(Ayesha, fahad, bano, qudsia) are constantly talking about basit's reaction but not for a minute anybody giving it a thought what made him do so.. and lemme tell you it's not basit's tainted past but Ayesha's actions.
Basit did ask her when she started to lie, he asked fahad and for that matter bano too, it's wrong to say he is not going to listen to ayesha. Now when things hv taken worst turn even now nobody is telling him truth .. is that even make any sense?
He is not making assumptions but ayesha fahad are doing things which point fingers on them.. be it secret phone calls or fahad coming to meet ayesha in basit's absence even when he knew basit is doubting them
Can anything be more dumber than this ? Of yes them again meeting in a car and making it more shady
O bhai ayesha ke ghar hi chala jata milne ... we blame basit for the whole mess but do ayesha want to come clean ... if basit had doubted her without any reason than I would have supported ayesha closed eye .. but here things are not like that ... so at least she needs to tell her side of story and basit needs to apologize for his behaviour... but what we are seeing is even now ayesha is more interested in talking to fahad and praising him how is such a nice human where as basit is some ghatiya aadmi who doubts his rab jaise friend ...
Honestly if I didn't know that story is of Ayet only nd fahad is just for this mu track, by Ayesha's behavior one can feel she wants someone like fahad..
@bold :- no Rishu it's not what I feel but they hv voiced it more than once that taras khaya uspe, basit ko jarurat hai aapki , taras khayo uspe.. while talking to his mom too fahad said taras kha ke jata tha. And he is giving same suggestion to ayesha too.. so even their genuine concern looks fake when behind his back they are naming it taras.
And honestly this is f*cking frustrating...
@red :- agree on that ... he do lose his temper.. nd yep the behavior on dinner wasn't acceptable...
But even after him being vocal and showing in his actions that what he is thinking, still ayesha-fahad continue their meetings without coming clean to basit... so can we really blame him ?
The same best friend who known in and out of basit, couldn't see where things are heading.. and I was fool to thought fahad is the sane voice between basit-fahad duo
My post was going long ...
So I'll reply lil later nd in other post 😳
Hv to give mom medicines now...

hahah!! Arrey I actually kind of did the same thing with my grandma! 😆
Basit's expression at the moment!!! Like he is super miffed and doesn't really want to talk to her more than required but he has to....btw the first thing he said was an attempt at a joke...have all the bones in my body broken?
Like he really doesn't want people to be concerned about him, notices Ayesha's worry and tries to deflect it using humour.

2. Ayesha on her period and dealing with cramps (This would be a good lesson for Basit considering his limited exposure to women kind).
3. Ayesha crying after a fight or being taunted in general by Qudsia (would love to see a protective Basit ☺️)
4. Ayesha being nervous before her exam (would love for Basit to encourage her to study further)
5. Ayesha being jealous of Soha
6. Ayesha being insomniac
7. Ayesha burning her hand while cooking
8. Ayesha suffering from fever
9. A health scare for Ayesha
Will edit this as I get more ideas.
So out of these I picked No. 2
Ayesha on her period and dealing with cramps
"Karim!"
Basit's voice thundered from the dining room.
Quick footsteps were heard followed by Karim dashing towards his mercurial tempered employer.
Basit sahab sat in his customary place at the head of the table. However, Ayesha baaji was nowhere to be seen. This did not surprise Karim. Ever since Ayesha baaji had returned from her stay at her mother's home, she had been coming down for breakfast only once Basit sahab had already left for work.
"Ask Ayesha to come down," Basit said, his eyes focused on the jam he was spreading on the toast. Karim nodded and went upstairs.
"May I come in?" Karim asked knocking on the door of the room Ayesha was using these days. Ayesha baaji generally did not stay in her room this late. She would be found in one of the many balconies or terraces but today all those usual places had been empty. Having checked all the rooms on this floor and below, Karim decided Ayesha baaji must still be in her room. No response came from within. Karim was about to open the door and enter when he felt Basit sahab's presence behind him.
******************************
"You can go," Basit told Karim, his eyes on the door. Once Karim was gone, Basit turned the handle and entered the room.
The curtains covering the windows left the room in a hollow darkness. In the little light seeping through the partings, Basit could make out a form on the bed. Ayesha was still in bed? A slight hesitation crept in him as Basit stepped inside the room. Reaching for the switchboard, Basit switched on a light.
There she lay, huddled under the blankets, turned away from him. Basit drew closer to the bed. Rounding to the other end from where he could see her face, Basit watched her sleeping form. Beads of sweat dotted her forehead where he could detect the faint hint of a frown along her brows. As he watched her, Ayesha turned in her sleep. She let out a soft groan and tossed around as if in pain.
"Ayesha?" he called out, his voice carrying a rare note of softness in it. She did not wake up but tossed around a bit more, her body curling up in the process. The blanket slipped and a faint coppery smell hit Basit.
This time Basit did not hesitate. Striding towards the bed, he called out Ayesha's name. He watched her eyes fly open. For a few moments, she lay there full of the uncertainty that comes from being startled awake. She looked slightly silly at that moment but seeing her like this made something twist deep inside Basit. He did not look away even as she sat up and looked around her.
"Are you alright?" Basit asked. Her eyes were now on her hands fisted around the sheets.
He heard her clear her throat before she spoke.
"Yes. You needed something?"
Basit could no longer see her face as a curtain of hair hid it from his view.
He had wanted her to come down and have breakfast with him. But he was already getting late for work and she seemed to have overslept. Basit felt annoyance surge in him. Why had he even bothered?
"I didn't think I would need to remind you that there is a certain discipline that should be maintained in this household. If you are alright, you should come down in time for breakfast."
He waited, hoping for some kind of response from her.
"Okay", she said. The word came almost as a whisper.
Her quiet response drew forth a frown from Basit and he promptly turned around and walked out of the room. As he clicked the door shut behind him, he heard her groan again. He stood stock still, his hand on the handle.
She was in pain. It could perhaps be just from sleeping for too long or in an uncomfortable position. Basit let go of the handle and walked towards the stairs. His steps slowed as he remembered the way her body had curled up in her sleep, the grimace on her face even as she slept. Unbeknownst to him, his steps paused. He halted at the head of the stairs, his grip on the railing hardening.
Then Basit turned back and with quick strides headed for Ayesha's room. Flinging open the door, he called out her name. The room stood empty.
She was in the bathroom. He could hear her moving around inside. He did not have to wait for long. She stepped out, head bent. When she noticed him, he saw a flush spread across her cheeks even as her eyes widened in surprise.
"Do you need something?" Basit asked changing tack this time.
She was about to shake her head in the negative when he saw her pause. She looked at him, hesitation creeping into her eyes. He hated it when she looked at him like that.
"Tell me, Ayesha," he said, his voice brusque from the unconscious hurt her hesitation caused him.
"Could you call Zubeida?" She asked, her eyes on the floor once again.
On any other day, Basit would have turned around and left the room, not bothered to waste any more time on her. Perhaps left an instruction with Karim to send Zubeida to Ayesha's room.
But her shutting him off like this once again made him see red. The fact she had trusted Fahad over him with Zoya's secret was still a raw wound for him. Taking quick steps towards her, Basit reached out and taking Ayesha by her wrists, pulled her towards him.
"Your husband is right here standing before you asking you if he can help you and you are calling Zubeida?"
Basit felt a tendril of satisfaction unfurl within him as her eyes were no longer on the floor. She was looking at him, the flush spreading across her face like wildfire.
"You have to go to work", Ayesha said, uncertainty dancing in her voice and in her eyes.
"My business won't collapse if I turn up late one day," he said, his hand on her wrists relaxing under the feel of her skin against his.
"Neither will I- " she began.
Basit cut in saying, "Why did you want Zubeida?"
Ayesha cleared her throat. Looking away from him she answered slowly, "There are some medicines I needed her to go out and buy."
"And why could you not tell me this? Why ask for Zubeida? I will tell Karim to get whatever you want." Basit told her, letting her go and turning towards the door.
"No! Don't call Karim!" Ayesha called out, her voice for the first time sounding agitated.
Basit looked back. She was looking at him now, her eyes carrying a trace of the deer caught in the headlights.
"Can't you just call-" Ayesha began but as Basit moved close to her, she sighed and said, "I have run out of pads. I will ask her to buy me some."
**************************
Hot tears threatened to spill from Ayesha's eyes. Why did he not just leave her if he had such little faith in her?! Since he couldn't trust what was the point of this relationship? In her desperation to hide her tears from Basit, Ayesha did not notice the effect her words had on him. It was now his turn to blush and Basit took little time to take on the shade of beetroot. Yet, this did not stop him from calling for Zubeida.
As he waited for the maid to arrive, his eyes followed Ayesha as she gingerly moved around the room.
"Are you hurting?" Basit blurted out before he could stop himself. "Let me ask Karim to get you something hot to eat."
Ayesha watched on in surprise as over the course of the next hour Basit arranged for soup to be brought for her along with some light sandwiches. Zubeida was back from the shop in no time with the pads along with medicines in case the cramps worsened. Ayesha who had never experienced such terrible cramps before was glad for the medicines.
As Ayesha came out after taking a refreshing bath, she found Basit sitting on the couch working on his laptop.
"You won't go to the office?" Ayesha asked.
Looking up at her Basit smiled. "I will go but just wanted to give you this."
Overwhelmed by whatever was happening around her over the past hour or so, Ayesha noted in stunned silence the electric heating pad in his hand as Basit continued, "I think this may help you if the pain gets too much."
He did not wait for Ayesha but got up and plugged in the pad to the bedside switchboard. "Use it when you need it."
Ayesha now spotted the variety of juices arranged on the bedside table. Rooted to the spot, she could feel herself beginning to cry once again. And unlike her usual self, she could not stop those tears from spilling over, try as she might.
As she stood in the middle of the room crying, Ayesha felt arms around her. It just made things worse as with the feel of his arms around her, Ayesha began to sob. All the pent-up pain spilled forth, buoyed by this unaccustomed care and concern.
Basit who while Ayesha had been in the bath, had been reading up on how to take care of a woman during this time of the month gently guided a sobbing Ayesha to the bed. Ayesha whose face had nuzzled against Basit's chest pulled away and said in weepy embarrassment, "I spoilt your shirt."
Basit sitting beside Ayesha couldn't stop a grin as he tried to reply in an even tone, "That you did. Spoilt my shirt."
As Ayesha reflexively raised a hand to the wet patch against his chest, Basit laid his hand on hers and asked, "So how will you compensate for it?"
He watched in amusement at a flustered Ayesha as she fidgeted around before pulling her hand away from his hold. He stood up but before Ayesha could relax, Basit's fingers were wiping away the trail of wetness from her cheeks
"Don't cry. Watch something on TV and relax. Call for Karim or Zubeida if you need anything."
As he spoke, his fingers trailed around the curve of her cheek and came to rest under her chin.
"I will be back soon but call me if you need anything."
Once Basit was gone, Ayesha sat as wonder filled her. She knew she should be wary and not allow herself to build castles in the air, but unknown happiness sang deep in her heart making her revel in the signs of Basit’s care that lay around her. She knew she was nothing in his eyes but nonetheless, his concern made her heedless. Torn between bliss and fear, Ayesha drifted into sleep. She knew now that while Basit Salman might not love her, he was a man with a generous heart. As Ayesha slept perhaps she dreamt of a Basit who took care of her not as a charity case but rather out of his love for her.
****************************************
Basit had not gone to work. He had intended to but as he was about to get in the car, a restlessness within him made him pause. Ayesha's tears rang in his ears and his fingers traced the wetness on his shirt. A smile appeared on his face even as his brows relaxed in a way it had not in a while. He wondered if he should go back to Ayesha's room but thought she might need to be left alone for some time now. So Basit settled in the study, working on his laptop having called up Bano and left the necessary instructions with her. Later in the afternoon before lunch, Basit went to check in on Ayesha. She was asleep, her face calm. Sitting down on the bed careful not to wake her up, Basit reached out and tucked away the hair strands that had fallen across her face.
"Ayesha," he whispered. His fingers continued their light path across her brows, her cheeks, pausing at the spot where she dimpled when she smiled. Nothing was ever enough for a woman, his father had told him. Basit recalled Ayesha's sobs today. Why had she cried? The tentative touch of her fingers against his chest through his shirt burnt still as if he had been branded. All this time he had known Ayesha, she had never been overwhelmed by whatever he had done for her. Not when he gave her those cheques for her family's well-being, not when he gave Bano the job. The memory of another night rose before him, the night of their walima, the expression in her eyes as he had rubbed the ointment on her wounded hand. There had been a similar look of warmth in her eyes then. All his wealth and the luxuries he could shower on her had not won him the warmth that a trifling balm had brought him. Basit's face softened as he looked on at the sleeping woman, his Ayesha. Perhaps he had finally understood what his wife wanted from him? Perhaps it would take him more time to come to that realisation? And perhaps Basit Salman's own experiences would prove to him that his father, the best of men, might not have been the best judge of what lies in the heart of women.
