I find no fault in basit's behaviour. bas maybe that thappad was too much and not needed. baki toh he was completely justified in all his reactions. and phir bhi bechara, he is suffering so much. can't concentrate on work. missing his wife at home.

fahad - the less said, the better. in friendship, what we say about our friends behind their backs is more important than what we say in front of them. aur yaha toh, what all was he saying. mentally sick bola apne bachpan ke dost ko. someone tell him the right term is mentally disturbed. the man has lost both his parents, was forced to get married to a stranger, has deep-rooted trust issues, and was repeatedly lied to by his best friend. aise mai insaan mentally disturb bhi nahi ho sakta. thoda extreme reactions bhi nahi de sakta. where is this insensitivity coming from???

bas, my bano is the best. she tried to reason with basit at office. she tried to reason with ayesha at home. she told qudsia to stay away from this mess. now, in next episode, she goes to fahad to tell him to come clean. the only one who is keeping calm and using her brains. ❤️❤️

going by the promo, next basit will get in an accident. this is the first show where the male lead is shown suffering always. usually ladkiya roti rehti hai. yaha ulta chal raha hai.

I was already pissed at fahad in promo where he said basit doesn't deserves ayesha but after actual episode I am just disliking this guy...

Basit doesn't need such friends, who goes to them coz they pity him...

Even though this drama seems really promising, I can't help but find it a bit bland. Maybe it's Ushna and Feroze's pairing that's not working.

I know passions are running high in this thread but I just want to put my bit forth and declare that I am not that angry at Ayesha truth be told. In fact, I am not angry at either Ayesha or Basit. They got married with barely any knowledge of each other. The very fact that they are still relative strangers allowed for this present crisis to enter their lives. Had they become more attached to each other, more in love, then this current doubt and suspicion, lies and subterfuge, would have been an insult to whatever love they had shown each other. That they are still in the phase of discovering each other allowed for them to develop misconceptions of the other, make assumptions and act in whatever way both of them have that has eventually hurt the other person and themselves. I am finding it possible to feel both for Ayesha as well as Basit. Basit is hurting, this is true. As is Ayesha.

And Basit would have doubted Ayesha at some point. That Ayesha made it so easy for him makes me sympathise with Basit more. Ayesha's lies give validity to Basit's suspicions which allows us to justify his actions. Ayesha's refusal to tell him about Zoya too is valid from her point of view. It is easy to say that she should have told him, but this lie came from something that the Sadiq family had developed over the years. A family of only women would have had to be extra careful about their reputation. What Bano says at the end to Qudsia about her extreme worry over log kya kahenge, comes from pent-up frustration over this sword that has been hanging over their heads since the death of their father. We know how South Asian societies are with women. Any single woman in India renting an apartment in the city will know how challenging an experience it can be...with neighbours so prone to find faults at the drop of a hat. Students renting in pg-s have to deal with this shit all the time.

And Fahad...well, he is justified from his point of view. He was never Basit's sidekick. Neither is he some saintly figure. In fact, I feel he does like Ayesha. Had Ayesha been single, it might have even converted to love. But he is not in love with Ayesha. He appreciates her. And possibly the very things he likes in Ayesha, he will find in Bano as well. This will draw forth his curiosity till he sees Bano for herself and admire her own qualities and perhaps grow to love her.

I refuse to treat Basit like a blob of wax that might melt if put in the sun. He will deal with this hurt and grow stronger. I always wanted him to face his worst fears head on and finally he has. The show never shows him as some kind of beastly man. Rather we see how much pain he is in by this betrayal.

This episode, personally I loved. The performances are so stunning. That staircase scene...I think it is one of the most beautiful argument scenes I have seen on Indian/Pak tv dramas. The way they were speaking over each other, reacting to what the other was saying so in sync...as performance that was something brilliant. It is a testament to what stars these two actors are and how in tune they are with each other while acting. I have been watching that scene on loop because I can't get enough of it.

Ayesha when she says she hates Basit...obviously she is speaking from the hurt and humiliation that must be coursing through her at present. Was she right in hiding stuff from Basit? Of course not. But from her point of view, she feels she is justified. And she has her own logic.

Zoya is continuing the way she has always been. But I think she will realise the loss of her family's support soon. To make the son choose between parents and wife is never a good place to be. But hopefully, she will manage to have her way like she always has and make a place for herself in her new home.

I don't think Basit will have a serious accident. But this will be a shock for him which will throw a spanner in his anger. At present, he obviously does not think Ayesha is worth fighting for. He wants to have nothing to do with Fahad or Ayesha. I would like to see that transition to where he decides that he actually wants Ayesha in his life for what she means to him...and not simply as someone who came into his life forced by circumstances and whose presence he has been adjusting to as part of his decision to fulfill the marriage vows.

On a different note, I think Kareem really is Ayesha's sautan. He was the one who laid the ground for this mess by telling Basit that Ayesha was not at home. And now he is the one coming to ask Basit if he would have some coffee...something Ayesha would do🤪

By the way, when Kareem asked Basit if he wanted anything else, Basit asked for Ayesha. The exact question was Aap kuch aur lengey?

So Basit wanted to have some Ayesha for himself at that moment...☺️

But that scene was just sooo cute. Basit literally forgot for that moment that he was pissed at Ayesha.
