37 crs is a huge opening. Especially in post pandemic era

Again, 36-37 crore opening is not good enough for a movie with this high of a budget, scale, star cast etc.

Plus, you all keep saying Ranbir and Alia are the most talented and powerful actors of the current generation, and yet they can't open their most grand project to the same numbers of KGF-2 ( which was post-pandemic) or even War (which only had one superstar) both at 50CR. Even RRR opened at 130 something cr on day one, ALSO post-pandemic.

If they cant reach those numbers, it simply means they are not THAT big , because according to their fans they are the best in the whole astraverse. You really cant blame COVID, Boycotting or anything else. That is the damn truth.

Just like Boycotts dont work...we also need to stop using COVID-19 as an excuse for when a movie underperforms, those days are gone. Face reality.

The opening is massive. Best opening for a non-holiday release of all time. Boycott gang must be hiding in their caves.

Dekh li online and honestly Taran uncle was being really harsh. I don’t wanna spoil anything but it has a solid story and plot which I thought would be missing but no I was pleasantly surprised they’ve actually thought it through everything connects and it’s properly written and executed. Ayaan ko halke main le liya uske liye sorry. So many years he has worked on it, it shouldn’t and couldn’t be half baked. It’s very entertaining which is a huge plus, start till end I wasn’t bored for a sec.

What I liked was the story and whole astraverse setup it’s very unique, the characters are well written even Alia’s and very likeable, the background music was fab! And the vfx wasn’t overly done it was only as much as needed so good on that. Mouni impressed me yaar she stood out the most performance wise, perfectly cast for the role.

The negatives well the dialogues obviously they were kinda amateurish, songs were not needed they did kinda break the flow of the story. The rest of the performances well nothing to write home about, not bad but nothing exemplary.

So overall I really enjoyed the movie very entertaining and engaging. I want it to do well so that we get part 2 because there is so much that is left to explore there and I’m actually excited for it more, it’s going to be much bigger and better(there are spoilers so can’t say, where should I discuss it?) I give it 3.5/5 watch it you’ll enjoy it!

to control the cost of the movie is upto the producer and director, but the cost doesn't take away from the big opening, it will affect hit flop etc but the opening is big ......

37 crore isn't impressive at all. This movie has a budget of 410 crore, has the most released screens ever in Bollywood. And still made 37 crore. It is barely even in the top 10 1st day box office.
