Every sector has its audience .. and balika vadhu was no master piece .. I never enjoyed it .. the very thing that Anandi’s own daughter was stuck in child marriage ., after all the global gyan she gave and her husband’s IAs family vanished after his death .
in fact anu aunty is a lot more believable than BV ., atleast forestking and his family call her out for her pages Wala gyan .. and bhaashan ..
The sector which will like sarabhai will not watch anupama..
I can only say every channel has its own audience .. own sector . They cater to that .. it’s not pan India
Oh!! I actually did not see BV till that actually.. I only saw till anandi was remarried (to the district collector.. i think).. so I did not see the degradation of the show.. I read wiki once..
When I was watching.. it was OK though..
I liked the characters like Bhairav, sumitra, shyam Dadisa gehna etc..
I am not saying it was great show.. but just saying that most of the characters had some individuality.. shared the screen space equally and at least when I was watching.. I was kinda good..
But nowadays.. the characters other than leads do not have much role in story.
According to me BV was never great... Just the treatment of characters in the shows which I mentioned before were not much compromised when I was watching them..
P.S: Well, while I am on the topic, The greatest Hindi TV serial is 'Kismat' which was aired in Sony TV around 2010-11. It was an adaptation of novel called "Kane and Abel"
