The way i see it, A villain like shamsher can also show some act of kindness here and there. Example: he paid the hospital bill. Why do critics start crying out loud that makers shouldn't show anything like that and want a villain to be complete black itself fearing that audience will get swayed. Audience needs to be smarter than this. If one has followed the story, they should know that Shamsher continues to be a villain and he has to go through similar stuff what he has put others through to understand and genuinely repent it all. Only that will redeem him. Not what he does randomly. His good actions should be related to his past actions. There should be a connection. Not just random good stuff he does in his journey. But this hospital bill paying scene only means he has the potential to change.
