They were all sweet guys who did change colours post marriage and when circumstances were different.

Let me put this way - They are good romantic interests, but in their roles as brother, husband, father and son, they did sometimes falter majorly in the plot. The latter shows (esp. later than 2015s) do showcase this distinction strongly. But that happens for most PHs. The moment their leads fall in love, some of individual characterisations are lost.
