Somehow I never saw the guilt or pain in Kunal for hurting Mauli . In the end I felt he was sorry for himself more than her . If he hadnt lost his memory he wouldn’t have thought about Mauli at all . The message was the issue . They tried to show Kunal Nandini as eternal lovers who will love each other till the end . I had the same issue with Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna . The storyline was good but in the end they shouldn’t have glorified Dev Maya’s love . I believe in today’s times people have less tolerance for EMA . Even in Bajiroa Mastani people sympathized with Khashi more than Mastani . It was a periodical drama where multiple marriages were common yet people couldn’t accept a relationship build on EMA .

People falling out of love is fine and if they get out of it and then get involved with others it’s acceptable but cheating spouses is not good .

I completely agree with you.

Bold: that was my biggest issue with the show as well. They tried to whitewash them in various ways too. I didn't watch Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.

Italics: wholeheartedly agree. If they had shown it this way, it could still be acceptable. But they glorified Ema as love but that made us hate them more.

I did feel bad for Sai but I didn't hate Virat. Sai was actually harsh in her treatment with Pakhi on the hill. She was too blunt. Suppose Pakhi was actually not bad (just suppose even though we know it's not true) Sai would appear utterly selfish in the way she was talking to her. Sai has to be a little tactful instead of going all guns blazing on Pakhi. She can learn a little drama like Pakhi. She doesn't have to be inherently a bad person like her. Instead of maneuvering Pakhi with care, she was all attack. Virat witnessed this harsh treatment and Pakhi's vulnerable condition with his own eyes. So he has no option but to believe Pakhi. Whether we like it or not, emotion always wins over logic. And Pakhi does emotional drama really well.

So no, I didn't hate Virat😆
