He is on crossroads.. he wants to believe that it is Manjiri so when she leaves he wont feel bad.. he knows it is Meety so when she leaves he would completely breakdown if that is even possible.

So he can either hold her back.. or prove she is Manjiri without a doubt which cannot happen (wo ehaas, khusboo, ankhein , batein and touch have proven otherwise)
