wish we had a photoshoot between ushna and shehroze like in the promo. it would have been so much fun! I really thought we would get something like the scene from this turkish dizi I used to watch.
lots of staring contests, awkward glances with a lot of sizzle and frizzle. (sometimes I feel so proud of ITV for inspiring other parts of the world, we do know how to create romances out of the absurd! 🤣🤣)

yea thats why they have so much differences in their dramas. I remember my first turkish dizi and I was very confused -- the subject was honour killing but the FL was dressed in this super mini skirt and I was like "HUH????" ... but yea, their culture is really mixed and even in the european type dramas, you can have some very conservative type culture ideas. so their audience is also really blended and hence the different type of dramas to cater to different tastes and cultures.
Exactly.. we have two types of blend everywhere in the society.

it really depends on the channel. I can't tell you how confused I was by the first few turkish dramas but then read audience comments to understand why there are so many ranges.
there is a show called emanet and they show clips on youtube with subs. so it was highly popular and had fans internationally. the first kiss was a fakeout. we just saw the scene go black and many of us thought youtube had crashed. 🤣🤣 it was supposed to be his head or something. anyway, after that they got better with the fake kisses. since it came from a conservative channel/production house, she was always dressed in mid-lenght skirts and often turtle necks. even her fancy dresses were full length. nothing above the knee. but yea, the channel used to show that gul show with arnav and however and so basically took lots of inspiration from ITV on how to do romance. 🤣🤣
then over on fox channel, you have these rom-coms where the FL has dresses with so many holes. 😆
the contrast was confusing to say the least.
I guess i mostly have only seen romantic turkish dramas and the only one that is close to a family drama was guneshin kizlari (sunehari titliya). In that also everyone used to dress boldly.
I think itv is popular in Arab countries and turkey. I have seen a lot of Arab dubbed itv clips and VMS with Arab songs.
