I swear….I used to rewind, pause the tape every time to jot down the lyrics and believe me, it was such a tedious process😟…also there used to be books by singers and movies. Used to passionately buy them. Then some of the cassettes used to be released along with the lyrics sheets. 😛..it would be like a bonus.
I mean comparing those years to now, the lyrics r available at our fingertips. Those years the amount of hard work that went behind jotting down lyrics for a song was tremendous.

I remember those were the days.. 😆

I got cassette of kaho naa pyaar hai after 6-7 months of its release n still remember I was pestering my dad to get me one n finally he gave in after so many months. 😆
I remember only kuch kuch hota hai cassette came with the lyrics written as a lyrics book. I think I still have those cassette treasure back home. ( If my mum haven’t donated them 😆) Even I had cassettes recorded from my dad ka zamaana mighty 70s and 80s 😆
Those stopping the song in between and writing the lyrics in a book ( 50 % of it were the gibberish words as we don’t know what they singing 🤣)

I found that notebook years back my mum was like so you were doing this instead of studying and given it in raddi 🤣

Uff nostalgia

Yeah agreed so much efforts we used to put in jotting down the lyrics. Even I used to do it in 12th vacation n college 1st year as well. Listening songs on computer/ MP3 player and jot down.
( ultimately that tedious process paid off when I won trophy for the first prize in Antakshari for my college 😆)

Gave that song lyrics book in recycling couple of years back . It was hard to let it go. 🤔
