Her adult self didn't allow her ever to prioritize herself and that nature cost her everything. Her life, ambitious, happiness, husband, boyfriend, love... And ultimately her baby.

To cope with that trauma her brain went back to a place where she didn't care so much about what others think, her happiness matters and she's not putting up with anyone. Also something where she's hiding from the truth that ultimately everyone used her. And the same sister tried to kill her for whom she sacrificed everything.
