The difference between Ushna and Zainab - Ushna forgives and forgets. Zainab forgives but doesn't forget. It was clearly visible when Sufi despo and family were trying very hard to convince Zainab to get Ushna married to Suffu. Raisa was ready to fold her hands and touch her feet to make her believe that she regrets her previous behavior, but Zainab didn't believe them. Not that Zainab wanted to hold anything against them for a lifetime, she had even accepted a dinner invitation from Menhaaz, and she was ready to start afresh, but it doesn't mean she would act like a past didn't exist at all. She wouldn't trust them to extent that she would hand them her daughter and start the circus of tantrums and insults again. With Ushna, she would start acting like the past didn't exist at all and the person is newly born.

Another thing, Zainab and Ushna both can sense the intention of a person with changed behavior, but Zainab has the patience to control her emotions, Ushna cannot hold it and she would express her displeasure on the face. Like Zainab had never tried to mess up with Bhabhis when she was living in Mukhtar house. In the same way, she knows Naima has turned into Nagin, but she wouldn't dare to go openly against her when she is living at her home (I know she has equal rights in that house, but it's more like Naima is a queen. She had her rights on Mukhtar house as well, but there Raisa was a queen).

The difference between mother and daughter has more to do with their age and experience. Zainab has lived her life and she knows where to stop trusting people and which steps shouldn't be taken when the situation is not in your favor. Ushna is too young and she has been loaded with many responsibilities. One of them is at the age of dating and hanging out with friends, she has been tied with a husband😆 Then there are manipulative families from both sides, creepy aashiq who isn't ready to give up, and jealous cousins. She'll learn her lessons eventually with time...
