Part 1

Rajshekhar Dikshit is a mill worker who looses his wife after giving birth to her daughter. Rajshekhar considers the child unlucky and swears never to see her . Rukhma who is a beggar takes the baby along with her ,very soon Rajshekhar wins a big lottery amount but forgets it was a luck bought to him by his daughter.

Laxmi is Rajshekhar's grown up daughter living with Rukhma while Rajshekhar has now become a mill owner and has a son Vicky from his second wife.

Laxmi starts living in Rajshekhar's house after Rukhma's death and works as a maid. Although Laxmi is treated very poorly by her father and step mother, she is very close to her half-brother Vicky. Her father and step mother believe that Laxmi brings bad luck. Vicky disagrees and tries to save his sister from their cruelty as much as he can.

In spite of his mother's orders to stay away from Laxmi, he goes to his sister to get a rakhi on the day of Raksha Bandhan. He later meets with an accident and one of his arms is amputated. His mother blames Laxmi and beats the living daylights out of her.

when Vicky finds the truth he fights against the injustice done to her by his parents.Vicky and Laxmi develop a great bonding among themselves.

The day Laxmi gets married and steps out of the house Rajshekhar's mill catches fire incurring huge looses.Vicky makes Rajshekhar realize that his sister was lucky for him the day she entered the house he won the lottery and from mill worker soon became mill owner.

Laxmi's father and step mother arrange her marriage with Amar Armstrong - an astronaut at ISRO.

However Laxmi's trouble don't end here , her husband is loving but she still has to face brunt from her mother in law. mother in law starts plotting her murder when Laxmi probably cannot have children anymore .But before she can carry out her plan, Laxmi overhears Amar talking about the miscarriage and its affect.

She decides to have a child even if it kills her. She seduces Amar and he is so aroused that he forgets that his wife will die if she gets pregnant. He spends the night with her. Later, he is horrified at what he has done. However, instead of consulting a doctor or convincing her to get an abortion he goes off to Saturn for duty.

Season ends at a cliffhanger...

Part 3

Kya Kasoor hai Laxmi ka?? Koi to batao 😭😭

While he is away, Amar's mother throws Laxmi out of the house. Laxmi starts working around in the village and sleeps in a barn. She gives birth to a baby boy by herself and takes him to her mother-in-law. Amar comes home from saturn just in time to see Laxmi breathe her last. The show ends with Laxmi's family gathering around her pyre wishing they had treated her better.

And as it is said that Nothing great will last forever.

I guess PPK is the only show that went offair due to the complaints received. I wonder why they never took complaints against other shows seriously. Especially that Pinjara show was absolutely pathetic showing romance between abuser and victim, still it was allowed to run.

Bccc had just decided to change the time so that child viewers cannot be affected by it, Lol as if the male lead of the show was not an actual child

It was shashi sumeets decision to take it off air coz they said they wanted families to sit together nd watch it

I wonder till today BCCC ever banned a show or not. Everytime they receive a complaint all they do is warning and leave the problem behind the bush. They are not at all responsible for their actions.

Pritam, ye koi 90s ki movie hai teri story nahi. I remember watching some scenes of this movie long back with some family members. Ye Laxmi ka role Juhi Chawla karti hai.
