but like I mentioned in my post, if we keep aside the sufiyan business, can see her attending because she wants to show that she is zainab's daughter. again, I will refer to another of my extended relatives.

so I don't know all the details because I am not too familiar with that family. they are rather rich but they didn't have a child and adopted a boy. people do speak highly of him as a genuinely nice person. however, there were also oldies relatives who taunted he was adopted. maybe they wanted a share and thought it was unfair that some adopted kid was getting the money? whatever it was, his parents ignored the bunch and wrote everything in his name. he was also very good to his parents and his mother found a girl among her relatives and got him married -- so basically tied him more to her.

now, years later, these moron relatives are alone and elderly. their kids are either settled abroad or working in another city. this means, he is the default go-to person for whenver these people fall sick or in need of some help. despite all their taunts, he still goes and helps them out. maybe he sees it as community service or they are just relatives nonetheless. who knows.

anyway my point is that dramas happen in families just like the stuff you mentioned with your father's cousin. however, people still keep ties and still keep going to functions. I think the younger generation have far less community feels but with the older generation, they are far more tied. so despite the nonsense that happens, they still want to maintain some amount of kinship at least for name sake. thats how I see ushna. if she cut these people off, then it would be like proving she is adopted and she has no one.

am quoting myself but I forgot to add -- I don't know how much the adoption angle plays into ushna still wanting some ties with the mukthar family. at least with this relative A, I heard the mom's side was super welcoming of him and really accepted him as one of their own. it is why they were more than happy to give one of their girls and deepen the ties. whereas the dad's side had moron relatives who kept saying it was absurd some stranger should inherit the business and wealth. I remember my cousin brother (who belongs to the mom's side) sharing about this family and then adding that he wouldn't have tried half as hard to keep ties with the dad's side considering the amount of taunts this relative A had to face while growing up. the adoption wasn't some secret and these were a very vocal bunch. then my cousin brother said maybe it was because relative A was adopted that he tried harder to honour his father and keep those kinship.

so we don't have much insight into ushna because we never hear her inner monologues. but maybe we have a similar kind of thought going on with ushna? that she wants the indirect approval of shujahat and rafaqat as a way to feel that indeed she is zainab's daughter? or maybe she just wants to honour zainab? anyway, it just reminds me that life like in drama can sometimes be vague and we give our own readings to the situation.

Me too. If i want romance I would simply watch a kdrama rom-com instead of pak dramas. I watch pak drama when i feel like watching something Desi. I cannot binge watch itv and indian webseries are mostly too dark and serious. So i watch pak dramas.

Mango , we have talked a lot on Ushna's feelings for Shehroz. Remember I asked you and Araya about what you girls feel on Ushna being attracted to Shehroz and not Sufiyan.. Can you give more insights on what you think about Ushna's actions towards Shehroz? Araya you too??
