Kid, parent, and spouse love is very different. Ushna and his relationship is still very new and it’s not as secure and this won’t help matters. so I am not sure if I really understand the khandaan or the stolen jewelry logic here in this story but here are my thoughts. I wish we were watching ITV because it would be very explicity and properly laid out instead of us having to read between the lines.

I think this whole "khandaan" is just economic class bias. zainab and her family are obviously upper middle class but not rich. after her husband died, zainab was "in impoverished circumstances" (as how my favourite novels would put it). so she was economically down and without choices. that is why naima picked her. if she had picked a woman from their own social class of rich people for wahab, that woman would have automatically kicked out naima and wahab would gone on with a separate life. instead, naima wanted to remain head of the household. she can only do that with a woman who is emotionally respectful and financially without means to boss around -- zainab was perfect in that sense.

till naima got what she wanted, zainab's class wasn't an issue. zainab was willing to be second in the house and didn't see her as competition. she was a good second wife. now, naima sees zainab as a threat because she can see that wahab is also listening or catering to zainab more.

the whole khandaan talk is a way of putting zainab down and showing her to be someone as characterless. if it was sadaf or raeesa, I can see them stealing the jewelry. 🤣but this zainab and why would she steal from her own daughter? again, there is the issue that ushna is not her real daughter and therefore, trying to assert that zainab is a greedy woman who would steal from her own.

also shehroze had the impression that zainab only married wahab for money. so the idea that he would immediately doubt zainab is in some ways make sense. he was petrified that his mother would be kicked out and this mother-daughter duo would take over the house. naima is re-fueling those those fears. so yea, lots of fight ahead.

keeping aside class bias, the fact is that stupid behaviour exists in every class. what do people mean by khandaan really? grace under fire and a character of firmness -- that is about a person's inner being and has nothing to do with class. you can find such gold in every status.

ultimately, like renee said, this seems to be a love story really about a mother and daughter who stick up for each other even if they are not biologically related. that is indeed worth watching.

If they show that he also told Ushna then I will see but until then I am not letting it go. He is an idiot a grown man who has to learn things eventually, how many times others will guide him. Suno Chanda was class apart. That MIL was so funny even when being mean and she had no malicious intention. She was in your face and didn’t care. I love that. She should kick him out waise bhi muh foolakar sota hai so what’s the point? Go sleep on the couch or on your mothers wheelchair for all I care but I want Ushna to kick him out 😂😂😂

Sarabjeet was the best ML. They didn’t change him. He was a widower with a 5yr old boy and he married meher an unwed pregnant mother ( she married her bf in lodhi ceremony). She tells him that she married him as her mother wanted her to abort and she didn’t wanted to. He was very angry but next day he said let’s deal with this, and she said I want to leave from here and not be with you. He goes okay I will help you. He does and leaves her in Europe with money and home. He comes back and everyone says he killed his wife and gets arrested. Meher finds out and she comes back and goes can you accept me? Next day he takes to her gyno appointment and they ask name of the father and he gives his name.

She gives birth to a baby boy and he loves him more than anything. There were issues in between and his wife was wrong so many times but he never got angry and will always talk. Told his sister and family she is my wife and she will get respect because I want it and if you don’t like then you can move out.

Meher’s ex comes back and he handles that situation so so well and says I understand you both had a past but she is my present and future and that’s what meher wants too so respect that and her. I absolutely loved that man. He was amazing and he never ever changed. That’s kudos to the maker they kept him a good man.

That's because sarabjeet is a nice decent guy from the start. Also i guess way older than shehroze and had experience of being a husband and a father before the FL came.

With manik he was an 18yr old boy who grew up with lot of money, a mother that didn't care much and an absent father. So obviously he will grow up to be an arrogant spoiled brat.

With shehroze also even though he is matured on the professional front he isn't matured in his personal life. It's clearly stated that he don't mingle much and don't have much of a social life. He hated his father for not being there for him and grew up being extremely pampered by his mother as a single child and had no shortage of money. So almost all his needs and wants have been fulfilled from childhood. He never had any reason to be kind or good to others. He can be whatever he wants to be and people would just accept it. He never had to adjust to anyone and never had to compromise on anything.

All this arrogance and entitlement has become part of his personality and defines who he is as a person just like being delusional is a characteristic for sadaf and sufiyan. It's not gonna change simply because he fell deeply in love with a girl. He will simply won't be arrogant and entitled towards that girl and will change just for her.

There are high chances that ushna might have ended up being a spoiled rich brat if her father was still rich and pampered her with everything she wanted. She knew how to adjust and compromise because she knew there are certain things her parents won't be able to do for her. She saw the real world for the first time when she lost her father. Before that she in a safe bubble with so much love around her.

My understanding of khandaani is similar to yours but I am thinking it’s similar to keeping up with the Joneses? Or very Bridgerton type elite class maybe? I thought khandaan in simplest terms is your family/generation. But in ITV and PTV it’s something else all together.

You are absolutely right about Zainab/naima equation and that being my reason for never warming up to Naima . I never thought she was genuine and that she is a master manipulator. When Z put her in her place she knew this woman would be perfect bahu as her son would never tolerate that so there was nothing to worry about.

With zainab now she is playing killing with kindness game. Her open war plan backfired but she is smart unlike Romeo and she changed lanes and now acting. Neither men know that and they will never unless she shows them.

She has raised a spoilt brat who was disrespectful to everyone except her. She said jump and he said how high - every single time. That changed with Ushna in the picture and we have this cluster fuk. There are going to be some terrible times ahead I am prepared but I hope he doesn’t bring her past about mother in her face, it would be hitting below the belt but I know in anger he doesn’t see anything.

As far as Ushna zainab are together I don’t give a shit about any of the Wahab’s right now. I know Shehroz will be redeemed, and elder Wahab. But they have to kill Naima - give me that and I will take everything else coming my way.

If Ushna was with that crazy dadi then yes she may have been a spoilt brat too so we need to thank the Dadi for not taking her in. But I want a proper grovel for Shehroz now that they are still shooting and not a simple sorry. His mother, him being rich and a single child, all contributed to him being a spoiled entitled brat. Also him being a male also. That's very important. He never had any restrictions since he is a rich privileged male.

If the makers decides to bring the old ushna back then he will definitely have a hard time getting her back. Simply his puppy dog eyes won't do the work😆
