As planned earlier, Anuj called Devika that evening.

He briefly filled her in on the recent events.

"Main Vanraj k against evidence collect kar raha hoon. Anu ko trigger nahi karna chahta hoon isiliye socha tujhse poochh loon."

"Pehle mujhe bata tu theek hai na?"

"Ha bilkul. Main janta hoon ki jab main US me tha tab tune mujhe Anu k separation aur divorce k baare me bare minimum cheezein batai taki mujhe hurt na ho. Par aaj tu mujhe sab bata!"

"Kya janna chahta hai?"

He tapped the call record icon.

"Is se pehle jab Anu ko panic attacks aaye the, tab tu uske saath thi. Ho sakta hai tab kuch aisa hua ho jo.. use nahi pata ho?"

"Pehle panic attack k bad, maine Vanraj ko warning di ki agar woh nahi sudhra toh main use aur uski family ko jail bhijva dungi! Agle din mujhe Anu ka call aaya ki Vanraj ne use propose kiya aur unki dobara shaadi ho rahi hai. Mujhe laga usne meri warning ko seriously liya but I was so damn wrong!"

"Usko is warning se bhi koi farq nahi pada?! Strange!"

"Kyunki Anu us ki taraf thi na, uski dhaal bankar! Anniversary pe bhi un dono ko dhamki di thi maine. Anu was in such a mess yaar! Mera dil nahi kar raha tha ki usko us mad house me chhodk jaun!"

Anuj was devastated as he heard the first hand account of Anupama's trauma.

"Anu family se affair ki baat chhupana chahti thi isiliye mere saath nahi aayi. Isse Vanraj ki himmat aur badh gayi. Ek bar toh woh.. Anu pe haath uthane wala tha par usne rok diya."

Anuj balled his fist and banged it on the table.

"Yeh kameena 25 saal pehle Anu ko kyun mila? Mujhe milta na! Laat, ghooson aur hockey se aisa nipta deta ki uska haath uthne laayak hi nahi bachta!"

"Anuj relax yaar! Shanti rakh!"

"Tu meri tension chhod! Aur bata.."

"Usne Anu ko dhamki di ki agar usne dance classes chalaye toh woh Samar ko ghar se nikal dega!"

He swore profusely when he heard that Vanraj used the term 'nachaniya' for Samar, pitting 'looser Samar' against 'topper Toshu'.

"Mujhe nahi pata tha ki woh bachpan se apne bachchon ko aapas me ladvata aaya hai!"

"Bohot shaatir hai woh! Sirf Samar ko abuse kiya usne, kyunki woh Anu k jaisa hai. Usk abuse liye Anu bhi responsible hai, kyunki usne Vanraj ko kabhi roka nahi aur Samar ko aawaaz nahi uthane di."

She plunged further into details of Vanraj using dirty tactics to prevent the divorce, potraying Anupama as the problematic spouse.

Anuj found it hard to maintain his composure.

"I wonder usko kis cheez ka dar hai?"

"Use is baat ka bohot guroor hai ki woh ek achcha beta aur ek achcha pita hai, jab ki aisa kuch hai nahi! Is padhvi/rank k chhin jane ka aur bachchon se door ho jane ka hi dar lagta hai use!"

"I see.."

Anuj felt his head throbbing with rage as Devika went on to narrate whatever she knew.

"Thank you so much yaar!"

"Tum dono k liye kuch bhi! Waise I'm impressed Anuj! Finally teri mahanta wali bimari ka asar chala hi gaya!"

"Jana hi tha na! Tu jo mujhe itne doses deti rehti hai normalcy ke!"

"I'm proud of me, I mean.. you! Dekh, mujhe is baat pe zara bhi doubt nahi hai ki tu Anu ko sambhaal lega par.. apneaap ko bhi sambhaalna."

"For sure! Jab bhi mujhe aur Anu ko teri zuroorat hoti hai tu hamesha humare saath khadi rehti hai! A big thank you meri jaan!"

"Bas kar pagle! Rulayega kya!?"

"I'm damn serious! Hey, hold on a sec.. Anu ka call aa raha hai.."

"Tu aaram se apni madam se baat kar. Main sasuma se baat kar leti hoon!"

"Sasuma?" Anuj enquired with a frown.

"Ha. Aunty ka message aaya tha ki unko kuch baat karni hai."

Anuj's heart started pounding hard.

"Oh.. Okay. Chal bye. You take care."

"Tum haaf kyun rahi ho?" an anxious Anuj asked when he heard her laboured breaths.

"Chhat ki.. seedhiyan chadh.. rahi thi."

"Oh. Shanti thi/Aaram se.."

He waited for her to speak.

"Sori, sori, sori.." Anupama began only to be shushed by him.

"Sorry kyun Anu? Kya kaha ma ne?"

"Main tumhara dar khatm karna chahti thi par.. nahi kar payi!"

He was in for a shock when she revealed the details.

"Main wahan aakar baat karoon?"

"Nahi! Jab tak ma tumhe pure man se sweekar nahi kar leti tum ghar mat aana! Hum khud aa jayenge."

He swallowed hard before speaking.

"Ma ka reaction samajh me aata hai ki woh apni beti ko lekar protective ho rahi hain. Although I wish unhone pehle mujhse baat ki hoti.Tumhari disappointment bhi samajh raha hoon lekin.. tumhari kashmakash main nahi samajh pa raha hoon, Anu!"

He pinched the point between his brows.

"Maine pehle bhi kaha tha ki ma ki soch ko apni soch mat banaao. Tumne jo baatein aaj subha mujhse kahi woh unse kyun nahi keh di?"

"Main mana nahi kar payi! Ekdum se.. na nahi keh payi.."

He took a moment to reply.

"Aisa pehle bhi hua hai na Shah house me ki tumhe na kehne me taqleef hui hai?"

"Hmm.. Sori!" she said in a small voice.

"Sorry ki baat nahi hai. You keep falling back into old patterns. Yeh.. behavioural issues jaise dhyan me aaye waise note kar liya karo. Aaj ka session toh stop gap arrangement tha taki hum panic attacks ko rok sake. Kal therapist ke saath apne in issues ko zuroor discuss karna."

"Kar lungi. Chaukkas/pakka!"

Nobody spoke anything for a few moments.

"Anuj.. Tum mujhse.. naraaj ho?"

Anuj wiped the lone tear that ran down his cheek. He never wanted to hurt her but he was also dealing with his own pain.

"Ha.. Main ilzaam nahi laga raha hoon Anu, sirf bata raha hoon. Jab tum pehle koi baat kehkar baad me mukar jati ho ya.. jab mere liye stand nahi le pati ho toh.. (gulps) I feel unimportant! Jaane maari kai kimmat aj nathi/As if I dont hold any value for you!"

"Aisa jara bhi nahi hai, Anuj! Tum mere sab kuch ho. Hoon tamne sau thi vadhaare prem karu chhu/I love you the most!"

"Hoon pan baby/Me too! Tumhe lagta hoga ki main galtiyan ginva raha hoon. Par is baat ko abhi address karna zuroori hai varna aage chalkar humare beechh trust issues ho sakte hain. We should be able to count on each other, always."

"Main samajh rahi hoon.."

She promised to consciously work on reforming herself through therapy.

Anuj tried his best to compose himself.

"Meri agli baat buri lagegi isiliye pehle se sorry keh raha hoon! Agar parents apne adult bachchon ki taraf se decisions le, woh bhi bina unki marzi k, toh yeh galat hai! Sujhaav dena, salah- mashwara dena ek baat hai lekin unki or se decide kar lena alag baat hai. Adult beta ho ya beti, apna sahi galat samjhkar faisla khud kar sakta hai!"

It turned out to be an eye opener for Anupama.

She recalled various incidents where she was guilty of single handedly taking decisions for her children.

"Humara rista bhale toot gaya ho ba par bachchon ke saath unka rista bana rahega. Bachchein aap sabk saath hi rahenge!"

"Tu Kavya ko ulta jawaab kyun deti hai Kinjal? Ghar me sukh se pehle santi aati hai. Kabhi- kabhi ghar ki sukh- santi ke liye chup rehna pade toh reh ja!"

"Aaj se meri bahu na toh aap se milne jayegi aur na aap apni beti se milne is ghar me aayengi!"

"Tum maangke toh dekhti Kavya! Main toh kya, mere bacchein bhi yeh eent, paththar ka makaan tumhe bheek me de denge!"

"Yeh galti aaj ma se hui hai aur mujhse toh.. bohot bar.. hui hai!", she admitted regretfully.

"Aaj subha dekha maine. Samar ki baaton se saaf zaahir hua ki use Shah house me nahi rehna hai."

"Maine uski taraph se phaisla lekar galat kiya par mansha/irada galat nahi thi. Main toh Nandu k liye keh rahi thi.."

Anuj tapped his forehead with his fist.

"Anu, yeh ek cycle of abuse hai. Yeh ma se shuru hua. Unhone apne time pe chupchap anyay bardaash kiya aur jab tum bahu bani, toh tumhe woh hi sikhaya. Jab tum saas bani, tumne bhi ek bahu ko yeh hi kaha toh doosri ko tum kya keh rahi ho? She needs her man to protect her from toxic in- laws! Kyun?"

"Woh.. ba aur Vanraj.."

"Ha. Jab woh use satayenge toh bahu palat ke jawab nahi de sakti, kyunki us se ghar ki sukh- shanti bhang hogi! Jo achcha beta toh kar sakta hai par achchi bahu nahi! Bad me yeh hi "seekh" tum Pakhi ko aur phir granddaughters ko dogi. Ya phir unko "tumhe dekhkar seekhne" ke liye kaha jayega".

He explained how the child would be imprinted for the rest of her life by being subjected to the abusive norms, day in and day out.

"Ba aur Vanraj filhaal Kinjal aur Nandini se 'Anupama model' follow karva rahe hain. Woh chahenge ki cycle of abuse next generation tak yoon hi chalta rahe. Par tum kya chahti ho?"

He gave her the time that she needed to come to grips with the reality.

"Main nahi chahti hoon ki yeh cycle chale!"

"Jab tumhe ehsaas ho gaya hai aur tumne faisla le liya hai toh tum is cycle pe break laga do!"

Anupama was stupefied. "Main.. kaise?"

"Lakeer kheechkar, magar chalk ki nahi, jo mitayi ja sake aur bar bar kheechni pade! Lakeer ab paththar ki kheecho! Full and final!"

"Matlab? Main samjhi nahi.."

He mentioned his conversation with Devika.

"Maine tumse kaha tha ki agar Vanraj ne line cross ki toh messages, records saboot k taur pe kaam aayenge. Aaj yeh jana ki woh toh har line pehle hi cross kar chuka hai! Tum kitna bhi achcha kar lo, woh bura hi karega aur tumhe hi taane sunaayega!"

"Sunane do! Main bhi chup nahi baithungi!"

"Agar yeh asal zindagi k bajaay daily soap hota na toh yeh lather, rinse, repeat mode me uska bakwaas karna, tumhara jawaab dena chalta rehta 1000 episodes tak! Kisi ko koi farq nahi padhta! Par yahan tumpe, mujhpe aur bachchon pe bhi asar ho raha hai!"

He cited the example of Samar venting out his frustration earlier that day.

"Jab Samar cafe wali baat bata raha tha tab mere man me ek sawaal aaya. Divorce k bad bhi why were you so sympathetic to him?"

Anupama simply recollected all the ocassions where she convinced her ex husband that he was a worthwhile person, deserving good things in life.

At the time of their divorce, he was in tears. So she had to emotionally support him and herself.

He evaded and dodged the wedding with Kavya so she had to get them married.

He was frustrated so she eased him into the jobless phase and even offered him a chance to earn a living.

"Unbelievable! Tum khud bhi sun rahi thi jo tumne kaha?"

"Su kehva mango chho/Kya kehna chahte ho?"

"As an ex, you didn't have to do any of that!"

"Mane khabar chhe/Pata hai.."

"Toh pachhi su kaam karyu/Phir kis liye kiya?"

"Kyunki woh mere bachchon k pita hain!"

"Of course!" he pronounced through gritted teeth. "Tell me something, tum usk bachchon ki ma ho is baat ka Shah family ne maan rakha ya faayda uthaya?"

Anupama realized that by living in Shah house after divorce, she settled back into the cycle of abuse while performing the duties of a caretaker, peacemaker, problem solver, cook, advisor, housemaid. It took no time to become an acceptable arrangement for her.

"Ph.. phaayda uthaya.." she spoke in a low voice as she dried her eyes.

"Woh tumhari achchaai aur tumhe deserve nahi karte hain, Anu! Kisi bhi co- parent ko woh special privileges nahi milte jo tumne use diye! Aur usk bad bhi tumhe zillat hi mili. Tum Vanraj ko oppose karo ya support, ek fact na pehle badla na hi kabhi badlega- Vanraj will be the victim as well as the hero of his story while you will always be the villainess!"

As the blinkers came off, Anupama saw her life from a different standpoint.

"Tumhare hisaab se paththar ki lakeer kheechne ke liye mujhe kya karna chahiye?"

"Uske aur ba k khilaf case darj karvao. Drag them to court!"

"Ca.. case.." she muttered uneasily.

"Ha. Ghabrao mat! Main tumhare saath hoon. Its better to engage in a legal battle than these psychological battles. Uska koi definite end toh hoga! At least wahan kanoon humari taraf hoga aur hal nikalega! Psychological aur verbal battles ka koi fullstop nahi hota hai, sirf comma hi lagta hai!"

"Woh toh theek hai par.. corat- kacheri ka mamla mujhe nahi chahiye!"

"Jinhone tumhare saath itna galat kiya unko tum kyun bacha rahi ho?"

"Main kisi ko nahi bacha rahi hoon! Main bas yeh keh rahi hoon ki main toh aage badh rahi hoon. Woh ghar chhod diya, naukri aur dance kar rahi hoon, ijjat se ji rahi hoon- woh sab kar rahi hoon jo woh nahi chahte the! Utna mere liye kaphi hai! Unke karmon ka phal Kanhaji unko denge."

She stated that seeking revenge doesn’t help a victim heal.

"Agreed. Tumne ghar chhod diya tab bhi wohlog bachchon k naam pe interfere karte rahe aur aage bhi karenge! Jab tum milne nahi jaogi toh phone pe pareshan karenge. Tum 4 din sheher se baahar gayi yeh unse hazam nahi ho raha hai. Kal ko abroad jana hua toh tumhara jeena haraam kar denge! Expect karenge ki jane se pehle aur aane k bad tum unki khidmat karo. You'll be forever waffled between them and me!"

The thought rattled her.

"Waise toh hum kahin aur jaakar bas sakte hain. Par uski wajah se hum apna sheher, apne restaurant ka dream project kyun chhodein?!"

"Tumhari baat sahi hai.." she agreed.

"Faisla tumhara hi hoga, Anu. Main toh saboot jama kar hi raha hoon. Unka kya karna hai tum tay karogi! Aur main har haal me tumhara saath doonga!"

The main reason for her denial overshadowed her reasoning.

"Ha par aisa.. phaisla kaise kar loon? Unko saja dilaane se bachchon k bhavisya pe asar padega."

"Vanraj k saath rehne se bachchon k bhavishya pe bura asar nahi ho raha hai?"

"Main unko apne saath lekar jaungi ne."

"Jo usk hisaab se nahi chalta usko Vanraj chain se jeene kahan deta hai! Keeping up with the manipulation and psychological abuse will be even more damaging for Pakhi and Samar."

"Subh subh bolo!" she sputtered while clutching her locket tightly in her fist.

"I'm sorry! I didn't want to scare you! Kisi aur case me restraining order lakar bhi roka ja sakta tha. Par usne aur ba ne jo kiya hai uske liye they deserve to be punished!"

She wiped sweat off her brow with her pallu.

"Mujhe bhi bachchon ki fiqr hai aur main unk saath kuch bhi galat nahi hone dunga, trust me!"

"Tum par viswas hai mujhe par.. Vanraj ka naam toh mere bachchon k naam se hamesa juda rahega."

"Kyun rahega? Sanjay Leela Bhansali ji ka naam suna hai tumne? Waise hi, tumse bachchon ka naam judega! Jaise Pakhi Anupama Joshi!"

"Pakhi Anupama Josi!" The name sounded like music to her ears.

"Ha, bilkul. Uski nayi pehchan apni ma se hogi!"

She recited that shayari which she had read in his red notebook earlier in the evening.

"Teri aankhon me jab dekhti hoon khwaab is qadar,

Toh haqeeqat ki duniya kuch anjaani si lagti hai.

Tu door hai mujhse phir bhi pass hai mere,

Tera pass hona bhi ek kahani si lagti hai!"

"Is kahani ki kalam tumhare haath me hai, mohotarma. Jo chaho likh sakti ho! Tum unko saza dilvaogi toh sahi mayine me aage badh paogi! Apne ghar ki ladkiyon k saath restaurant wali aurton k liye bhi ek bohot achcha example set karogi!"

Anuj waited with bated breath while Anupama pondered over his words.

"Main taiyar hoon Anuj."

"Thank you Kanhaji! Thank you so much Anu! What a relief!"

Gazing heavenwards, he blew a kiss in the air.

"Thenk you Anuj! Mujhe himmat dene k liye thenk you."

"Kaise kar leti ho yeh?"

"Yeh kya?"

"Yeh bhaashan dene me jaan nikal gayi meri! Har bar kaise de deti ho tum!"

"Bhapp! Tum kaise likh lete ho har bar itni achchi shayari?"

"You bhapp! Mutual admiration club hum bad me kholenge! Pehle aaj ka plan bana lete hain."

"Mane toh a thodi beek laage chhe/Mujhe phir bhi thoda dar lag raha hai.."

"Beevaani jarur nathi/Darne ki zuroorat nahi hai! Aaj Vanraj ko jo kehna hai, jitni bakwas karni hai karne do! Sab record kar k kal hum case darj kar denge."

"Tum kaise record karoge? Matlab.. phone ko kahan rakhoge?"

"Hidden camera k zariye recording hogi."

"Maadi re! Tum pakde gaye ya kisi ko samajh me aa gaya toh?"

"Nahi aayega. Relax! Sara intezaam maine kar diya hai!"

"Itna sab kuch.. kyun?"

"Apraadhiyon ko aise hi pakdvaya jata hai! Vanraj Shah chahe jitna dahad le ki woh 'jungle ka sher' hai, rahega toh woh apraadhi hi!"

"Mujhe kya karna hoga?" asked a nervous Anupama.

"Kuch nahi. Bilkul normal rehna. Jaise hamesha use himti/tashan deti ho waise hi dena.Tum usk saath nasta ghar nahi gayi isiliye woh khari, khoti sunayega. Main nahi janta ki woh ekaant me kya baat karna chahta tha."

"Bachchon ke bare me koi baat karni thi.."

"Jo bhi ho, tumhe main uske saath akele nahi chhodunga! Noways! Main aur Samar tumhare aas pass hi rahenge so dont worry at all."

"Bhaley. Tum bhi apne gusse pe contol rakhna.."

"Bilkul. Mujhe ghar se nikalte waqt call karna. Main bhi same time pe pahuch jaunga. And remember, we are a team!"

"Yes. Aaj jo hua woh dobara nahi hoga. Main ma ko jane se pehle apna phaisla bata dungi ki main tumse door nahi rahungi! Bad me Samar aur Nandini se bhi poochhungi ki woh kya chahte hain?"

"I'm glad! Ek aur baat.. Kain bar us ghar me log chilla chillakar Meenu, Pakhi ke beechh aisi baatein kar jate hain jo bachchon k sunne laayak nahi hoti hain."

"Barabar hai. Main unko pehle hi Sweety k kamre me bhej dungi."

"Main wapsi me.. tumlogo ko ghar drop kar doon?"

"Ha. Kar dena. Ab bhi.. mujhse naraaj ho?"

"Meri naraazgi mere pyaar k aage haar jati hai! Achcha ab main rakhun? Party me bhi toh jana hai."

"Bas ek aakhri baat.."

"Bolo?"

"Jane se pehle hum dono ki kisi bhi selphie ki najar utar lena!"

"Done! Tum bhi kaajal ka teeka lagaakar nazar utar dena."

A thought struck her.

"Tumhe pata hai kaajal kaise banta hai?"

"Huh? Nahi! Kyun?" he quizzed.

"Mitti k diye ko dhak kar raat bhar jalaya jata hai. Subha jo kaalak/soot bachti hai ne usme kapoor aur divel/castor oil daal kar kaajal banta hai."

She sighed sentimentally as she thought of his shayari.

"Mitti k diye ne shama ke pyaar me jalna sweekar kiya tab jaakar shama ko pata chala ki woh sirph doosron k jeevan me rosni karne ke liye nahi bani hai! Aur phir kaajal bana, jisse aankhon ki sundarta badhti hai, jisse buri najar ko door kiya jata hai."

"Hmm.. Very interesting!"

"Mere jeevan me mitta ka diya bankar aane k liye, mujhe apna mol samjhaane k liye thenk you very much! I love you!"

"I love you too! Waise, diya chahe mitti ka ho chahe chaandi ka, mahatva/importance toh shama ka hi hota hai!"

"Na. Mahatva dono ka hota hai! Dono ek doosre ke poorak hain/ both complete each other."

"Chalo, toh dono is mission ko poora karte hain aur usk bad nayi shuruaat karte hain! Okay?"

"Ha. Aav jo!"

"Bye."

She warded the evil eye off their selfie.

"Kanhaji dhyan rakhjo! Aaj sab theek karna. Jo dor pichhli bar chhoot gayi use aaj khulne dena taki phir koi bandhan humein agla kadam lene se na rok paye!"

She took a deep breath and headed off.

I don’t know why I am scared from maa and bhavesh’s reaction on MaAn’s love and relationships Dont worry.

Okey so anuj want to live in to support her emotionally during her hard time how sweet he amber cross any limits without her permission so he want live in to for her not for him. He want to stay with her for make sure she is safe and sound. When I am reading of live in line my mind hint me that now something bad happened with maan and its come from anu family.

Wowwww he is already make full prove plan to distort vanraj. I tuh just love this anuj kapadia his anger toward vanraj or any one who trying to harm his anu and his attitude wallah wallah ma sha allah.. really badly want this anuj in show and miracles happens in today’s episode I see this anuj’s jhalak in epi finally.. Miracles do happen but with the kind of white wash that happens I have lost hope from the show.

Samer and anuj’s bond are mind blowing lovely. I wish Pakhi also share same bond with anuj. Cuz father and daughter relation are heart melting and mesmerising. True. Will show them bonding in future! 👍🏼

Finally they take first therapy session.

See wo hi huA jis ka dar the ban gai nah kantah ben shole ki mushi. Vanraj k bari me sari aqalmadiyan kiya trek ghastly charne gai hui thi. Kantah Ben Obama se puch usama billadan se mashwara kro ya isis ka Sahara lo ya raw ko sceret mission per lagaO but please never make them apart please haha! No worries dear. Kanta ben is no vamp. She will come around.

Anu finally distancing herself from the Shahs and advising Samar and Nandini to the them was just so amazing!!!!

I am curious though why he is suggesting live-in instead of marriage? Might as well take the full plunge? For someone who has a trauma of seeing her husband and his GF on her marital bed, that too right after her wedding ceremony, marriage will not come without haunting flashbacks unless she has healed. Hope that helps.

One other request - please don't make so long for updates :) please update as soon as it's possible for you. I so wish I could update daily. But now on will maintain twice a week update schedule diligently.
