I think kdramas have a more solid script before filming than pak dramas. A lot of kdramas complete more than 50% of the shooting before the drama airs and finish the shooting almost a month before the last episode goes on air. So i guess korean actors have more idea about how their characters are going to be than pak actors. Just take aik sitam aur as example. Usama said that he started shooting for aik sitam aur around the same time as Teri rah mein and it seems like they haven't finished shooting yet. So they have been shooting for this drama for more than 7-8 months now. Pak writers have way more time to screw up the drama than k-writers 😆.

I guess even mere humsafar is still shooting and that drama started airing from December.

Literally , i tried watching it just for anmol and i was like what disaster is this 😳 I could not continue with that 😆

I have noticed that production houses stick to a single channel in pak dramas unlike indian serials. I don't see momina duraid producing dramas for ary or geo and Fahad Mustafa producing dramas for hum or geo.

Indian writers toh full time saste nashe mein hote hai 🤣. The creativity that comes from their brain cannot be explained otherwise

renee -- like you, I generally ship the characters. there was only once or twice where you are curious if there is a spark between the actors themselves. but it is more in the offscreen vids and posts they make.

in the previous thread, someone (think nina?) said that chemistry does not equal intimacy. I think that is a great point. I also think chemistry does not equal good looks either. you can have two good looking actors and they can come across like mannequins in a shop. it is actually difficult to predict who will have chemistry and who the audience will love.

a great example would be ram kapoor and sakshi tanwar. people loved their pairing but if you look at them, they are not typical. he was obese (he has lost weight now) and they were both in their mid-30s when they did bade ache lagte hain. these are not the usual young good looking actors but people loved their chemistry.

the affection that people had for this pairing meant ekta had them do web series years later. I watched some of it and they were just as fun to watch even though the characters were different.

so yea, chemistry is hard to predict and define. with some actors, repeat projects don't show that but with others, repeat projects only make the chemistry even better. maybe it is comfort like vibha said but sometimes, actors hate each other and still manage to sizzle on screen. strange no?
