here in PTV, it is kind of confusing. only when others explained how shehroze paid attention to her at the bank, did I realize, "oh yea, he is attracted to her" -- it really feels like a mystery to be deciphered. smiley37

There was another scene where he kept looking at her while she was in the bus stand and he was driving his car. He noticed her even while drive passing her 😂😂. Aur bechari zunisha aakon ke saamne hoke bhi usko Nazar nahin aata tha.

Also if you watch their first encounter his look kind of changes when he sees ushna. I guess he found her beautiful in their first meeting itself.

Hindi serials definitely make it crystal clear if the leads starts seeing each other differently. Also even before they fall in love we get plenty of intimate scenes. Even if it's hates to lovers trope, they will be in each other's personal space while fighting. I remember how in sada haq, the fight between the leads got so heated that they ended up kissing each other 🤣

I think the reason that in some cultures, these stalker romance is glorified because it is the only way romance happens -- meaning the guy has to be certain level obsessed to not be swayed by cultural norms and to go after the girl with a focused determined and to toss out all opposition that comes his way. since some cultures are so restrictive where the guys will not take a stand for their own feelings, only the most determined who don't care about the fallout will pursue -- in many of those cases, it was borderline stalkers. if you see indian movies from the 80s, we had a lot of roadside romeos. as society became more accepting of dating and girls having the freedom to choose, we have been different type of love stories. basically as young people are having freedom to talk about their feelings and address them in a healthy way, there is less need for stalker romance in dramas and movies.... now with many news incidents, people have also become aware of the dangers of stalker romance and feel it is no longer romantic.

Thank you 😊 before that even I thought a guy being mad after me is cute but nope, not anymore.

I agree and I think no one stopped them and could be because no one knew otherwise. I think society is changing and hopefully mindset will too. Right now almost everyone on this forum hates Naima and even disliked the old Shehroz, instead of saying he loves his mum so all good. That is why I like writing here as majority have similar mindset.

PTV dramas can be OTT at times but so are ITV. Only good thing is PTV are limited series so I can move on after one ends. Here who in their right mind will like Naima’s behaviour and I don’t know how it will generate TRP? Or even that Romeo and his obsession, who would like that?

Kitni mohabbat hai, kaisi yeh yaariyan and ek duje ke vaaste. kaisi yeh yaariya was the longest running one out of the 3. I tent to loose interest in Hindi serials after a while. Mostly when the leads finally end up falling in love and all those lovey dovey, push and pull scenes end.

I was so surprised when kasaf said she was pregnant. Those two were fighting for a long time and both used to work in different cities. When they were happily together at the beginning of their marriage and went on dates i thought they were on the process of getting to know each other😂. Didn't even think they were doing the deed.

The most shocking pregnancy was the one from koi chand rak and a hum tv drama with Iqra Aziz and shehzad Sheik set in the 80s or 90s. In koi chand rak the ml didn't even talk to ayeza khan's character and was in love with her sister. Suddenly when he decided to divorce her she ended up being pregnant. I was rolling my eyes in confusion. The same with Iqra Aziz drama. The guy hated the fl and didn't even share a single romatic scene and in one episode they show she is pregnant. I stopped watching that drama after that.

I guess only pyaar ke sadkey and mere humsafar made it clear that the leads consummated their marriage.

Yes that used to confuse me a lot too. Plus they are all fully clothed too 😂😂 and nothing changes behaviour wise. In ITV the ML will try to touch her a lot or bathroom funny scenes and eye moments. Here even after consummation they are exactly the way they were before 😂😂😂😂

I watched Taawan another good show with a realistic MIL where the leads were shown on the bed and FL was playing with ML hair so I figured it out that they must have done it 😂😂😂 so much work eh? Here we will either know or someone will tell us 😂😂

I guess i have only seen Sami Khan in that drama Bilal did with him and Ishq zehanaseeb.

if you notice, both moms in zindagi gulzar hai had identities of their own that were separate from wife and mother. kashaf's mom was working in a school and had a life separate from home. so yes, she struggled to put food on the table but because she was independent and working, she could take a stand for her daughters. she didn't break no matter how many taunts her husband or his relatives gave her. as for zaroon's mom, I don't remember what her profession was but I do remember that she was really good at her job that she travelled even overseas for conference. so this was a woman that had a life outside of her husband and son. they weren't her life or her entertainment. she also raised her kids to be independent and so had to agree when he chose kashaf.

like dramabaaz explained so well about the culture aspects, a lot of these obsessive moms have also emotionally unavailable husbands. they are unhappy in their marriages and it is not fulfilling. so the sons become the support. I also think the obsession has to do with the lack of relationship progression in the parent child relationship. rather than going through child-parent to teenager-parent to adult child-parent relationship, the relationship remains stunted in the chid-parent phase. there is this great telgu/tamil movie where it opens with this line -- when you child is 2 and you hold his hand, that is fine. but when he is 25 and you are still holding his hand, that is a problem. in many of these obsessive moms, they are not willing to accept that young birds will eventually grow their wings and fly away -- that is the natural order.

I agree it’s the patriarchal society that glorifies what my boy wants he gets and they don’t teach that women have feelings too. When a good looking man stalks a poor girl to the point she is shaking and scared that’s not love at all. Deewangi I loved the ending where Danish died as he was not redeemable. He was horrible both to the FL and his own wife. He even in a way abandoned his own daughter. A character which I hated but loved the acting.

Exactly! See these men have caveats and it’s needed. Imagine a Hamza but having SJ too? Or a Shehroz how he was with zunaisha? No thanks, I will take my chances and stay single lol 😂

Even ITV at times does that. I watched Dil hi to hai and karan Kundra was a terrible lead. Believed everyone but his girl who later became his wife. I even didn’t like SRK in KKHH he was so spineless and went back entirely on what he had said about love and marriage lol 😂

I stopped watching deewangi after the FL went away and he got married to his cousin but saw the last epsiode and some clips on insta. So i know the entire story.

Even though i used to watch kitni mohabbat hai and it's one of my all time fav Hindi serial i lost interest in karan kundra a long time ago. I didn't watch Dil hi toh hai.

I don't really get the hate srk's character gets in kkhh. He always treated Anjali like a friend and never even flirted with her like he did with other girls or led her on and even after Rani entered Anjali had the same importance in his life as before. He was like a typical immature college boy that failed to see the fact that his best friend had feelings for him. He cannot be held accountable for anjali's one sided love towards him. Even after 8years, Anjali held a very important place in his heart. When they met each other again he was more matured and he fell in love with her without knowing she was engaged. Even when he went to the marriage he had no intention of breaking her marriage. He would have definitely fallen in love with her even if she was still tomboyish after 8 years. Anjali and Rahul did share a special bond that even Tina knew she can never have. That bond is the reason why he fell in love with her.

I used to eye roll these scenes in hindi serials at one point but now, I am weirdly attached to them. 🤣🤣 they are cheesy, romantic as well as laugh out loud funny. it is full on entertainment package. 🤣🤣

yea I saw clips of the drama and I am confused -- the girl looks frightened out of her wits and her family literally hid from his torture. how is that romantic? 🙄🙄

not sure what message they send through so much dramas -- that if you twist the girl and her family enough, you will get what you want and eventually people will forgive you and love you? 🤦🤦🤦
