honestly this show though lost the uniqueness factor it is still a better itv show in this era, other itv shows r way messed up. esp EK’s shows on other channels. if balh2 aired on other channel, till now forget leap or confession they would have still shown priya and ram at loggerheads, shivi and akki’s marriage again postponed. one thing i love about is the fast pace, (compared to all EK shows this has a nice pace) I just wished they wont have messed up the pre-leap episodes so much they clearly came up with those horrible episodes just for sake of leap. EK worst shows also didnt mess to this extend just to show the leap. I wish there was a way to delete those 10 horrible episodes of shivi’s death and priya in jail from the show. minus that 10 episodes , this itv show is good enough for me(i have very low expectations from itv shows). saving grace in this leap is pihu if not the inconsistencies gotten worse (like vikrant knows everything still doesnt tell ram, sood sisters r confused they want ram-priya together or not, priya sometimes wanna go sometimes wanna stay, ram is confused who is he again, vedika is confused is she ram’s fiance, ram’s friend or just a charity, krish ko dekh kar lagta nahi hai he is a PI, but sometimes he uses his brain well like figuring it out it could be ram who gave ishaan the papers) only character who had a character growth in the leap are ishaan and maitri(i say maitri cause at least she knows she wants ram and priya together for sure, unlike sara and sandy) maitri is actually underrated among the sood sisters she was the one who had guts to ask ram about vedika, told priya the truth when priya heard about vedika and now genuinely wants pihu to be united with her dad as she saw the bond between them. idk how she fell for a guy like neeraj. only time i didnt like maitri was when she lied and faked a fight with priya for neeraj, but since then she came a long way.
This show is still better than the bhagyas on Zee or even some shows on SP that are ruling the TRP chart. YHC is so terrible. I don’t get y it’s still on air. I had seen first few episodes and I saw the most illogical thing - the heroine who is a single woman becomes of the mother of her sister’s child who presumably died during childbirth and she did this so that the child wouldn’t be called illegitimate. She herself is an unmarried single woman. How on earth will her giving her name to the child as a mother make that kid legitimate? Hadh hai. This show is one among the top shows and they r short on ideas that they are incorporating entire movie story as a sequence in the show. YHC had a track that was a lift from Drishyam. Like how lame can it get? 🤣 And if I start talking about bhagyas it will give me a headache. I quite like the pace of this show. Other shows are so pathetic ki the leads take forever to consummate even though they r madly in love and the so called hype on consummation 😵 I mean it’s organic between a married couple. It’s no big deal but ITV shows love to celebrate this 😆 that’s what I liked about this show too. RaYa never confessed their feelings but there was a certain comfort and trust in their relationship that paved way for intimacy but they felt awkward coz this wasn’t something planned and neither knew how to react. I wish this entire murder mystery track was not there in the show. Separation could have happened in other ways too. There was no need for Shivi to die considering she played a huge part in the story and Sneha herself didn want to quit. The sister’s character was interesting in both s1 and OTT version. Shivi as a character was nice overall. Infact the only decent Kapoor in the step family. The chemistry between Nakuul and Disha is also so beautiful. So subtle compared to other shows and while I love them as Pankhudi and Adi, I love them more as RaYa coz they have evolved so much as actors and this has only amplified their chemistry.
