Though I agree that they dragged the drama, as they do with any other drama; however, I don't think that it was a bad ending. For me, ending at the point when Mahir was being a good husband, and good father by solving all the problems of Mehrus kids was not a convincing ending. When they show Mahir as a person who's too good to be true then it doesn't look believable because it doesn't suit his character in the drama. In contrast, when they show Mehru THAT good then it seems believable because she's a character who's naturally humble and caring, and also got very mature with time. Mehru was nice to everyone from the first day whether it was Durdana Aapa, Ibtisaam, Osama's in-laws, Mahir's family & friend, etc. On the other hand, Mahir is not nice to his only friend who always helped him. Thus, this conflict was mandatory to show how Mahir overcame his inner confusion and became mature.

The last episode had lots of flashbacks but they were necessary because they showed the thought process of all the characters while dealing with this conflict. Here, it is important to note that the thought process of Mahir and Sameen don't show even a single memory of their old days when they were lovers. It signifies that those memories are faded in their minds, they're living in the present, and their decision to marry each other is not because of the love they felt for each other. However, when Mahir took a U-turn to come back to Mehru then he thought about the time they danced together, played together, and celebrated together. It shows that the time he spent with Mehru was not faded in his mind. I like that they didn't unravel either Sameen's mother's hidden motives or Mehru's hospital project to Mahir and the only reason that made him to come back was the loving time he spent with Mehru. I also liked Mehru's decision of not questioning Mahir even after knowing everything as it reminds me of Richard Bach's quote, "If you love someone, set them free. If they come back, they're yours; if they don't, they never were."

The point is Yeh mahir ka character tha yan roller coaster ride. Kabhi acha kabhi bura phir acha phir bura phir acha. When he was perfect hubby and father that was unbelievable and unrealistic then he took 180 degree turn and became cheater then it was an extreme changed. Mahir's character lacked consistency. Main end sy tab connect kar paty jab mahir ny last two episodes main ek bar mehru ka socha hota. No he was just age shaming her. Ek dam sy phirse 180 degree ka change, couldn't connect with it.

I can't blame you. I too felt it wasn't convincing enough. But after watching the 3rd last episode I realized there were hints. As if he was comparing the 2 women.. yes , by the looks Narmeen was young , but in his heart he wasn't happy , as if he was trying to show his authority, that he isn't biwi ka ghulam. That he can get Narmeen now that he can. Mahir's character is complicated. And many of ppl are like this .. it is only when they realize what they are going to lose , just at the last moment that they change their minds.

Loved the ending inspite of the unnecessary dragging

I’m still searching for a great show like Raqeeb se 😶😶 Dobara disappointed a lot..there was no chemistry between Mahir and Mehru after a point..and they really ruined Mahir to the point of no return..I’m sorry but I dint find it funny when he referred to himself as Dada and Sasur and all..even though Mehru and him happened in the end. There was no heartwarming feeling to see them together..I just never really got Mahir honestly. His character kept yo yoing between good, bad and ugly..Bilal is such a handsome man and uski aankhen bolti hai just like Fawad..would like to see him in a proper blockbuster show..loved him in Pyaar ke sadkay but here the script let him down..Did not enjoy Hadiqa’s performance here as much as I enjoyed her in Raqeeb se..ok ending and a good opportunity gone wasted..in the same genre I really loved Malaal which was also about an older woman younger man story..and even Jackson Heights track with Adeel and Marina much more than this

I keep seeing this girls interviews everywhere where she keeps on complaining that she is so unlucky and deprived of lead roles and how the industry is so unfair to her inspite of her being worthy

Blah blah blah

But t he truth is she isn't even good enough to be a. Parallel lead

She is just so wooden and expressionless and cant make the audience feel for her character be it good or bad...she isn't that pretty as well

I m surprised she is getting so many supporting roles

And I m so tired of her ingratitude

Zoya Nasir is a very problematic individual. There’s always drama around her and she rarely has anything positive to say. She’s not likeable. At all.

The weakest link of this drama was that We never got to see what is going in mahir's head. He married mehru but we did not know either he loves her or just married for money. Then he decided to marry narmeen later changed his mind we did not get to see for once mahir thought about mehru in last 3 episodes (excluding last one)

As a audience, I could not able to connect with him.
