I was watching the initial episodes of KKIS and couldn't help but feel sorry for how every single character was butchered by the makers! The way Bade Papa's character was changed from a compassionate and well grounded man with principles to a self-obsessed delusional patriarch is embarassing to say the very least! It was BP who actually understood GG in the very first meet. I remember him saying "Uska dil pardarshi hai. Jo dil mein hai wahi zuban par". How come a character who always had better eyes to look through things turns blind eye just because of one fateful night?

Another character who let me down was Sargam. Sargam was supposed to be the sweet mother-in-law who always took decisions from heart. Like Badi Maa she always seemed to be the one driven by heart. Her bad-mouthing GG after the PWP came as a shock to me. Just a day prior that girl had come running to you guys crying her heart out and apologising for her mother's deeds. Such a paradigm shift in character is unthinkable yet we are here!

About Goli being bitter is understandable. She still carries the past baggage and hence that could be the reason for her being spiteful towards GG. Not justifiable but understandable.

I could have understood had they been disappointed with the Bhatnagars but outright blaming GG doesn't sit well. We can clearly see the downfall of every single character from here onwards.

I don't how are they going to redeem BP. The only thing problematic about this character initially was his use of emotional blackmail to get things done. Still he never lacked compassion. Sadly I think his character is ruined to no return.

The best part of the Bengali version was the family. Which is totally ruined after the pre marriage party. Maya came and magically changed the Kulshresthas

But for me Bade Papa was never good. He was egoistic and always wanted to control the whole family.

His shayaris were ways to control others
Will add later

Everything changed. Every character changed except Riddesh and the evil ones. But changed for the worst. So no looking back. 😔 I really feel bad for the actors sometimes. Usually they don't get what they have been promised. Still they have to continue unlike we people.😒

Old eps weren't perfect but definitely better.

GG's bond with the family was lovely and the scenes of GC gang + Khushi and Neeti being the matchmakers of AnuGun were hilarious.

They deprived us of so many things for the trp run, like AnuGun's chaotic and fun wedding and i will never forgive them about this, cause was the key moment of the whole show.

After yesterday's episode, i'm still pessimistic about the future story.

The show needs something huge to make 90% of the fandom optimistic again, and it's not a pregnancy track or GG being humiliated.

With the kidnapping story, they had a chance to get a little bit back on track but once again, they have wasted it.

I still laugh that Anubhav shielded Gungun despite she was wearing a bulletproof jacket...do they take audience for granted?

Anyway, let's wait and see, i will stick to WU at least for this week, if nothing will get better then it's better to say goodbye to the show, cause no one wants to watch bitter characters and negativity everyday.

It somewhat fascinating how makers got the knack to make viewers hate(no, despise) supposedly positive characters.

Best examples are Charu and Sargam.

Well, this old man is definitely getting his grey matters grilled day by day. As you mentioned, he was the one who accepted Gungun's alliance for Anubhav, with only his unshakable trust he had in Dr.Riddhesh. (btw, he didn't even know the Bhatnagars, except for the fact that the said doctor helped Khushi n Ankit in difficult circumstance)

N for him to blame Gungun for Maya's misdeeds, n so openly be against such an innocent girl....it can easily make viewers deduce that this old man was indeed after Gungun's wealth n seeking a rishta with the Bhatnagars. Usko kyun itna mirchi laga?

That day, if Maya crossed the line n insulted them copiously, on that same day, the Ks SERVED themselves on silver platter to be insulted. N were they sooo blinded by their insult sessions that they failed to see a pleading Gungun stopping her mom? This same girl came to their door the very next day to bow down to them n seek their forgiveness?

Ego! Charu has an immeasurable amount of ego. He is toxic. He kept the wedding date n venue unchanged n married his nephew on the very same day, n he had the guts to actually fold hands n invite Dr.Riddhesh n Gungun to attend.

Kyun?

Bkoz he wanted to show to Dr.Riddhesh that see, ladke wala hum hai. Ek ladki gayi, doosri mil bhi gayi. Humare Anu ke liye ladkiyan ki kami nahin hai.

Insult uska hua tha, toh beizzatti usne bhi ki hai.

Never once did he imagine what havoc he was creating by keeping the wedding date unchanged, going on with what was supposed to be AnuGun's day.

  • Gungun went into depression. Any girl would, if her shaadi gets cancelled so dramatically, n that too a couple of days before D-day.
  • Dr.Riddhesh's heart started to plummet.
  • Charu, don't know if he did it deliberately, but he n his whole family had a minimum knowledge, that Akriti was in fact Gungun's cousin, n there was a kind of rivalry n unlost hatred between these girls. Where were his brains!? imagine if Ankit's dad had turned down Khushi n opted for Chavi instead, would they feel elated???
  • I say, i blame Charu for Dr.Riddhesh's untimely death.

N this same aweful crap, sorry excuse of a man, a pitiful crappy patriarch, in now sitting on his sofa n cursing Gungun, the same girl who is struggling to fight for his ghar ka chirag's light, while his kohinoor bahu is eating food!

He dared to question as to why Gungun is striving to find Anugun? I mean, really???

As "MFRanjini" says, for me too BP was never really good as we like to believe, he just knew how to fool his world nothing more.

You already know what I think.

For Sargam, the hypocrite of the service...

I'm not going to repeat what I've already said.

But this family is irredeemable, but we know that everything can change without any logic, we'll say they heard voices and end up possessing them, then suddenly they're normal again after exorcisation...

I've said this in another topic too but Maya was't wrong about the Kshits. The proof that they never had an ounce of love for the Bhatangars was when Riddhesh died and Charu didn't care a bit, instead he was all about the rasam and the whole family was distraught for the missed SR of RKC and Anubhav. So, let's say that Charu wanted his revenge on Maya by marrying his nephew to Akriti (kind like Anubhav thought, he wanted to get revenge on GG by marrying Akriti) but the moment his dear friend, who had nothing to do with the party fiasco and Charu knew that, dies, he should have been the first one to rush at the hospital and at the funeral. To me that family is canceled and I will never appreciate them anymore.

I belong to the Shivi fandom so I'm more active on the Pandya Store Forum. Waha bhi humarein mann ka kuch nahi hota pr iss fandom ka dukh dekh ke mera mann halka hojata hai smiley37

ANYWAYS, I used to be a regular viewer of this show until Akriti showed up! I was so excited to see the progression of Gungun and Abhinav's relationship and how they grow together as individuals!

The thing that makes me super sad about this show is that it had everything going right for them from the very beginning! The cast was amazing! The storyline and the characters were interesting! And each character from this world was fleshed out pretty well! There was soooo much potential! Even Akriti's character had so much potential! They could've decided to make her a genuine character who becomes a sister to Gungun! BUT NOPE!

I don't understand why the creative heads of this show decided to move this show from a light-hearted rom-com to a full-on family drama! They literally killed the whole vibe of this show! I mean this was the reason why we all rooted for KKIS!

This show was sold to the audience as a cutesy rom-com but now it has turned into a typical ITV show! It had the potential to be the next "Sasural Genda Phool" 🤡
