He came to prominence with Bidaai and you wont believe.. all the neighboring aunties and my relatives were gaga over that serial. Once two of the leads left the show, it ran for may 2-3 months and winded up. But I was seriously surprised that YRKKH is still running when I passed out college in 2016. Star Plus started removing your namesake's shows after the emergence of Colors channel and when Colors started they had some amazing shows. It overtook Star Plus within a year if I remember correctly. Soon Colors also went the typical ITV route and then there was no competition for Star Plus. Yes there were good shows on another channels but it was not enough to defeat Star Plus. Unless Star Plus gets some serious competition they are fine same like government job in India, jaisa chalra chalne do.

Sorry for the rants but the lack of logic every second day is pretty annoying! -> Same pinch. Even I was doing the same everyday 🤣

I give it to this guy for trying to show diff social messages but there's something - he fails to take it forward or maintain connect. one of the reasons why bidaai wrapped up soon. same for the YRKKH spin off (with Shaheer)

for YRKKH - he didnt try much. he followed my namesake. he tried to stick to drama with leaps and decent social messages time and again. it is so far working for him.

for this show, he is trying bidaai way - worked well but then dostana roadblock happened. and then ofc KGF happened. but in this also, the fans are really going out of their way after every episde with immense feedback. he hit jackpot with his casting (like with all his other shows). I really fail to understand the issue. Like i'm seriously trying but I don't get.

Coming to SP, I think they did a massive rebranding with the nayi soch bit a few years back and saath mein they launched a bunch of new serials. My namesake by then had launched her own OTT platform which is doing wonders. Content maybe okayish but it is working so far. She still has like 1-2 shows on each channel toh uska kaam chal raha hai. SP may never get any serious competition cus of their reach and subsidiaries. but all these trends will def hurt their image. I dont understand how all these big names can simply ignore the power of SM
