I think you disturbed the cat's dinner time... she might have come there to eat the bird and attacked you in the process... cats are cold hearted. You will be fine and if there are any scratches better get a Tetnus shot!

Nope , no scratches , it's swelling in that area , umm I think I'll wakeup to see blood clots there in the morning
