Hello friends,

New thread comes with a new story!!! Just kidding 😂😂

First of all idea of this concept basically has come from jollyismyname....she suggested me to write something on engagement as we dint have engagement and mehendi in our show!!!!

So as said earlier here is the new story!!!!Currently in TR we are at a stage where Shashank has realised his feelings, but in this story we have engagement, which means they are trying to accept each other!!! Let's see their journey of being belonged!!!

As promised i will be posting all the part together!! But though already types.... posting also takes a bit of time!!! If possible we shall have all parts by night ...if not by Tomorrow morning pakka!!!!

I always decide i will write a small story....but here also i ended up writing 6 parts🙈🙈

Part 1:- That feeling- Belonged!!!

This scene is after apurva and kuki gang going to shashank's office (first time) and taking him for shopping!!! Netra had insulted apurva and apurva was upset about the fact...she had cried and kuki gang had given a reality check to shashank about how he was wrong in not supporting Apurva!!! So after the drama in institute they go for shopping!!!

Shashank:-" Just wait for 5 minutes i shall also come with you??"

Kuki:-" Will it be possible for you???"

Shashank:-" It's my engagement as well, how will you'll do shopping without me!!"

Apurva:-"Ask your assistant to do it for you, she shall do it!!"

Shashank realises she is hurt, without answering her he goes and packs his stuff and comes back!! When he was packing his stuff netra comes to his cabin!! (Ab meri story hai and netra nahi ye possible hai kya😂😂....i like jealous netra!!)

Netra:-" Sir, even i need an off!!"

Shashank:-"Why, just bcz i am taking an off...even you need an off!!"

Netra:-"No sir, nothing like that!! I have some personal work!! I was going to tell you after our meeting, but your so called illmannnered wife spoiled it!!"

Shashank shouts:-" Netra!! Even you were no less in insulting her!! She kind of just reacted!!! She may be ill mannered, but you also dint behave any nice with my family!! Nyways i am not in a mood to argue....you need an off, take it!!" Saying this he leaves!!!

Shashank:-" Chalo lets leave!!"

Mansi:-" How are we going??"

Kuki:-" Ok so me, nikhil, Amey and sumi in one car and in appu's car Shashank, Mansi and prachi you guyz go!!"

Prachi:-" Ok!!"

Nikhil:-" Appu, let Shashank drive!!"

She gives her keys to nikhil telling him to give it to shashank!!

Shashank and appu get settled in her car and prachi and Mansi ditch them and get settled in the other car and they leave!!

Shashank receives a message and reading it he starts the car!!

Apruva:-" Are wait!! Let Mansi Vahini and praju come!!"

Shashank:-" They already left in the other car!!!"

Apurva:-" Are but why!!! It was decided na we will go together!! Why they left me alone!!"

Shashank:-" Are why alone, i am there na with you!!"

Apurva:-" It's equal to being alone only!! You would as it is hate my company!!!"

Shashank:-" You talking as if you enjoy my company!!"

Apurva:-" Ofcourse not!! You keep shouting on me, fighting with me for no reason!! Why will I enjoy you company!! Yours and your assistant's favourite job is to hurt me na!!!"

Saying this tears had formed in her eyes!!! She sits looking outside the window!!! Shashank stops the car!!!

Apurva:-" khadu....(she dint complete) sorry Shashank!!!!"

Shashank was surprised at this and nay be hurt as well....she has never till date called him Shashank!! Somewhere he dint like his name being called this way!!!

Apurva:- "Shashank why did we stop here??"

Shashank:-" Shashank???"

Apurva:-" That's your name right?? So ya Shashank!!!"

Shashank:-" Then whose khadus??"

Apurva being hurt:-" That's the name i had given...but i just realised back in your institute....that i am no one to you and hence i dont have the right to give you any name!! So here on it will be Shashank!!!"

Shashank:-" If i have the right to give you the name shisht, then even you have the right to call me khadus, isn't it??? Our rights are not different!!are they????"

Apurva:-" But we are different na!!! I am not netra Tai who has all the rights!!"

Shashank:-"Ssshhhhh!! Stop crying apurva!! Look at me!! (He keeps his finger on her chin and makes her face him) i am really very sorry for what happened at the institute!!!"

Apurva was surprised, because this was the first time he was apologizing to her!!

Shashank:-" Whatever happened at the institute, should not have happened!! And i should have supported you, i made a mistake!!! But i did shout on netra after going in, believe me!!"

Apurva:-" You actually did shout on her??"

Shashank calming her:-" She was wrong apurva, i dont say you were completely right!!!"

Apurva tries to react, but he holds her hand!!

Shashank:-" But she was more at fault!!"

Apurva wipping her tears:-" No you were more at fault you dint support me!!"

Shashank:- That's the reason i am saying sorry na!!"

Apurva:-" Khadus kutla!!"

Shashank:-" shisht kutli!! Acha here take this, it will cheer you mood!!"

Apurva:-" Cadbury!!! Wow!!"

Shashank:-" While leaving the institute i got it from our canteen...as my apology!!"

Apurva:-" Impressive!!"

Shashank:-" So am i khadus now???"

Apurva:-" Ofcourse!! The biggest khadus!!"

Saying this she puts one piece in his mouth and they solving their fight move towards their location!!!

Kuki gang had reached well in advance and was waiting for Shashank and appu!!! As Shashank and appu reached, the gang saw them arguing!!!

Nikhil:-" ohhooo!! Seems the fight is resolved!!"

Apurva excitedly:-" Are nikhil dada you know what!!! This khadus na told me sorry!!"

Evryone together:-" Sorry!!"

Kuki:-" Are you sure.... Shashank kanitkar said sorry!!"

Apurva:-" Yes!! He said sorry to me and see he gave me this Cadbury also!!!"

Everyone:-" Ohoooo!! Cadbury!!"

Sumi:-" Unbelievable Shashank dada said sorry!!"

Shashank was trying to stop apurva...but come on is that even possible 😂😂

Mansi:-" No no sumi, you dint hear what appu said!! Khadus said sorry!! Our Shashank bhauji and sorry!! Che che not possible!!"

Amey and nikhil:-" Right!! Khadus said sorry!!"

Shashank:-" Are we all are here for shopping na, let's go!!" Saying this he starts walking to the store trying to avoid the teasing session!!!

Prachi:-" So what shall we shop first??"

Kuki:-" Let's first complete the ring...bcz without ring toh engagement can't be done!! So let's first complete the ring!!"

The entire gang goes to the jwellery shop!!!

The vendor first shows them the ring for the bride!!!

Sumi:- "Comeon Shashank dada, select a ring for appu!!!"

Shashank:-" Why should i???"

Nikhil:-" Because you are suppose to make her wear that!!"

Shashank:-" Ya, but then she has to wear it so let her select!!!"

Prachi:-" Are, but it should be your choice na she wearing!!!"

Shashank:-" Praju, let her select!!! The Princess wouldn't like my choice anyways!!! And i would be happy if she selects the ring of her choice as it's she whose to wear it!!"

Apurva:-" Khadus if you don't select my ring na then.....!!"

Shashank:-" Then what will you do???"

Apurva:-" Then Even i won't select your ring!!!"

Shashank:-" Fair enough i shall select my ring myself!! As it is i dont trust your choice!!"

Amey:-"You are also her choice only!!"

Shashank:-" No no dada!! I am her father's choice!!! Her choice is toh see coming here only!!!"

Everyone sees Krish coming and now they understood what made Shashank so irritated!!!

Krish:-" Hi appu!!!"

Apurva:-" What are you doing here!!!"

Krish:-" I had come for shopping!! But what are you doing here!!!"

Shashank answers on her behalf:- "We all are here for our i.e mine and her engagement shopping!!!" ( Jealousy was clearly visible on his face😂😂)

Amey to kuki in low volume so only Shashank could hear:-" Somebody Wasn't ready to come shopping and now...OUR engagement shopping!!!"

Kuki:-" OUR amey OUR!!!"

Shashank gives them a shut up wala look!!!

Krish:-" Come i shall help you!!! After all who knows your choice better than me!!"

Shashank's anger was rising with the very presence of Krish over there!!!

Apurva replied Krish:-" Me!!! This apurva vartak knows her own choice better than you!! So please it's my engagement Krish!! Let me do my shopping!! Bye...i shall see you later on!!!"

Saying this she avoids Krish!!! She starts looking at the ring very carefully!! Shashank was also looking at the rings...he had particularly liked one ring and his eyes were stuck on that ring only, but he from his heart wanted apurva to select the ring herself as it was she who was going to wear it!!!

Apurva dint knew which ring Shashank liked, but coincidently she selected the same ring...which brought a big smile on shashank's face!!!

Mansi:-" Wow appu, what a beautiful ring!! Bhauji see na, did you like it!!"

In flow Shashank:-" I loved it!!"

As soon as he said this apurva looked at him and they shared an eye lock!!!

The remaining gang:-" Ohh you loved it!!!"

Amey:-" What did you love??"

Nikhil:-" The ring or the person who is going to wear it!!!"

Shashank firmly:- " Nikhilrao!!!"

Meanwhile Krish sees the ring:-" Are appu!! Such a simple ring you selected, what's wrong with your choice!!!"

Apurva:-"This is my choice only Krish!!"

Krish:-" This is such a simple ring!! This can't be your choice!!"

Apurva:-" First and foremost you absolutely know nothing about my choice Krish!! My choice is simple and sober only!! For the records i don't wear jwellery at all, but this is going to be my engagement ring, which i shall be wearing life long!! It can't be too heavy, it has to be simple and cute!!!"

Kuki:-" Just like you appu!!"

Apurva:-" Exactly!! And this proves the fact that you know nothing about my choice!! So please go and let me shop for my engagement!!"

Saying this apurva finalises her ring!!!

Shashank in apurva's ears:-" Shisht!! Wear the ring for life long!!" He reminds her what she spoke and after that they both shared a eye lock!!

Both dint knew what they shared, what relationship they had, but listening to apurva that she will be wearing that ring for life long made both of them happy!!!

P.S:- please ignore the typo and grammatical errors!!

Though i am giving the entire story in a go....but would like to read your options on every part (if that's possible)!!!

Part two:- That feeling- Belonged!!!

Apurva's ring had been selected now it was time for Shashank's ring to be selected!!

Sumi:-" Comeon appu now you select dada's ring!!"

Apurva:-" No ways, he dint select my ring i am not going to select his ring!!!"

Mansi:-" But appu!!!"

Apurva:-" No!! That's final!!! I am not selecting his ring!!!"

The shopkeeper starts showing them the groom rings, Shashank and apurva both were seeing the rings!!!

Seeing one ring apurva got so excited, she picked up the ring and in excitement showed it to shashank!!

Apurva:-" Khadus see na, this ring is so beautiful!! It's so u unique!!"

Shashank saw the ring and he kind of liked the ring!! He took the ring in his hand, saw it nicely and said the shopkeeper to finalise that one!!

Prachi:- "Someone wasn't going to select the ring for dada!!"

Apurva:-" So when did i select!! He liked that ring so he took it!!!"

Mansi and sumi:- "Acha!!"

Apurva:-" That's the only truth!!! Hai na khadus!!!"

Shashank dint reply anything, how could he reply because the fact was though he loved the ring but anyways he loved the fact more that it was apurva's selection!!

Shashank:-" Chalo lets go for clothes shopping!!"

Mansi:-" Bhauji!!! Now since appu has selected your ring na, now you have to select her clothes!!"

Shashank:-" Sorry vahini i can't!!"

Kuki:- "That's not fair!!! She selected the ring for you na, now your turn!!"

Shashank:-" Are kuki, i dont understand anything about this!! If you ask me to select, i will select a saree for her because I would like seeing my bride in saree!!! But can she wear a saree, ofcourse not!!! She is comfortable in that...what do we call...that whole one piece thing!!!"

Prachi:-" Gown!!"

Shashank:-" Exactly gown!!! Now i have no idea about gowns....how would I select one!!!"

Nikhil:-" No i think Shashank has a point!!! Every girl has a dream of getting ready in a particular way in her wedding, i guess let them both select their dresses themselves!!!"

Mansi:-" Ok then, we shall do one thing!!! You all males go into the boys section and we females will do our shopping!! They both won't see each other's attire till engegment!! Let's keep it a surprise!!!"

Kuki:-" This sounds cool!!!"

They all went for their shopping!!! Thats when something clicked Shashank he remembered a flashback of apurva and Mansi's talks!!

Flashback!!!

Apurva had come to kanitkar house and Mansi and apurva were discussing the theme and everything for the wedding!!

Mansi:-"So appu what theme we shall keep!!"

Apurva:-" No theme Mansi Vahini!!"

Mansi:-" Are why??"

Apurva:-" Are Mansi Vahini!! Don't you know whom am i getting engaged to!! That boring khadus kanitkar!! I know him very well he won't follow any theme!! So let's just skip this theme discussion!!"

Mansi:-" Are we will force him to wear!!!"

Apurva:-" Seriously vahini!! Forcing khadus to wear anything against his choice is next to impossible!!"

Mansi:-" Are but we can try!!"

Apurva:-" Acha vahini!! I want us to colour cordinate on the day of our engagement!! You really think khadus will wear clothes of my choice colour!!! Impossible!!"

Mansi:-" Actually impossible!! Bhauji will say, we would look like band people with same colour clothes!!"

Apurva:- "Exactly!!!That 60 year old khadus would never understand trend!!!"

They both laugh at the cost of Shashank, unaware of the fact that Shashank had heard them!!!

Flashback ends!!!!

Thinking about this flashback Shashank to himself:-" She called me 60 year old na, now wait and see apurva vartak what surprise holds for you on our engagement day!!! But how do I get to know what colour is she wearing!! If i ask anyone or be it her as well, she will make it public immediately and then these people won't leave me!! Will have to think of something!!!"

Shashank bought the clothes for remaining function but he did not get anything for engagement!!! Completing the shopping all reached near the food court!!!

Mansi:-" this is absolutely not fair appu!!!"

Kuki:-" What happened Mansi???"

Mansi:-" See na kuki!!! Appu is not showing us also what she has bought for engagement!!!"

Nikhi:-" Are but you were with her only na fir shopping then how come you don't know??"

Sumi:-" We were shopping for ourselves also na, in between only she got her dress and is not showing us now!!"

Shashank:-" Are sumi!! It must be some beautiful gown, may be of pink or red colour!!"

Apurva:-" Excuse me!! I don't like pink colour and red colour toh as it is you need to wear in marriage, so for engagement my attire is different and it's a surprise for everyone!!"

Shashank:-" If not pink or red, it must be Orange gown!! Sumi shisht ka think only upto that much!!"

Apurva:-" Oh hello, this apurva vartak na chooses the best!!! These colours look quite goody!! Apurva vartak is an elegant girl!! Kuki calls me princess, so i have selected princess colour off white, and you all will be shocked see!!!"

Shashank was trying to get out the colour of the outfit from her and he succeeded!!!

Prachi:-" You guyz done with your shopping??"

Amey:-" No na, this Shashank has liked nothing for the engagement!! He kept on rejecting everything!!! Now we shall go somewhere else for his clothes!!"

Shashank:- "No amey dada i have selected my clothes!!"

Nikhil:-" when??! You toh almost rejected everything!!"

Shashank:-"No there was this one sherwani in one shop it was in display and i had liked it, i have told them to remove and keep i shall go and take the trail and come!!

Amey:-" Chalo i shall come with you!! Finally you have liked something!!!"

Shashank:- "No dada its ok!!! You all order the food, everyone is very hungry i shall come in 10 mins!!"

Amey:-" Are but!!"

Apurva:-" Are amey dada let him go!!! Chalo i am very hungry lets have food!!!"

They all have their dinner together and then leave for their home!!!

Shashank drops apurva home!!!

Shashank:-" So shisht, atleast tell me what did you take for our engagement!!"

Apurva:-" It's a surprise khadus!!"

Shashank:-" Are but you can tell me atleast!! I promise i won't tell it to anyone!!"

Apurva:-" Khadus the surprise is for you only, so sorry!!"

Shashank:-" Surprise for me??? Why??"

Apurva:-" Why means?? Are it's our engagement and you are the groom!!"

Shashank:-" But i am toh your khota khota navra (husband) na!!"

Saying this he looks into apurva's eyes with some unknown hope!!!

Apurva:-" But the engagement is toh real!!" After this they share an eye lock, which was broken by kaushik da!!!

Kaushik:-" Are Shashank!! Come in!! Why are you standing outside!!"

Shashank:-" No sir i had come to drop apurva now i shall leave!!! It's late as it is!!!"

Kaushik:-" Are but for sometime atleast!!! Just a coffee!!"

Shashank:-" No sir next time pakka!! I am getting late today!!!"

Kaushik:-" Acha wait i shall tell driver to drop you!!!"

Driver drops Shashank!!!

Shashank's monologue:-" What's wrong with me??? In the institute why was I hurt seeing apurva crying, why her tears affected me so much??? May be because somewhere i was the reason behind those tears!!! Ya that's the only reason!! Nothing else, i dont feel for her anything!! But if that is the case, then why I became a child like her and coordinated my clothes colours with her just because she wanted that, she was right about me we shall look like band people, but even after knowing this why did i do this, why i wanted her wish to be completed!!! This apurva vartak is seriously a complicated puzzle to solve!!!" ( Somebody tell this Shashank he has started falling for his to be bayko😂😂)!!

Otherside apurva's monologue:-" why did i do what I did today!!! This apurva vartak never comes out of her comfort zone!!! I always do what makes me happy, then why did i think about khadus's wish before my comfort??? While selecting the ring also he was in my mind, that if i was he what would have he selected, why was I doing things as per khadus's liking today!! But these things made me happy dint they?? But whatever it is Mr. Khadus kanitkar you are in for a big surprise at our engagement!!! All the best!!"

Thinking about each other both sleep off, they needed rest as next day was the mehendi day!!!

So next is mehndi!!!

Part 3:- That feeling- Belonged!!!

It was early morning and a lot of hustle and bustle was going on at the Vartak's!!!

Kaushik:-" Sarika!!! Everything is ready na???"

Sarika:-" Absolutely dada!! You don't worry! Everything is sorted!!"

Kaushik:-" Acha where is apurva!!!!"

Sarika banging her head:-" Are baapre!!"

Kaushik:-" What happened??"

Sarika:-" In all this hustle and bustle i forgot to wake her up only!!!"

Kaushik:-" Sarika!!! This is her mehendi function and she is only missing!! The kanitkar's might come here any moment!! Go wake her up!!!"

Sarika wakes appu and asks her to Get ready soon!!! Kanitkar family had already arrived at vartak's place and appu was yet getting ready!!! Shashank was looking here and there for apurva but she was no where to be found!!!

Nikhil:-"Searching someone???"

Shashank:-" Who me?? No whom will i search???"

Amey:-" The one who has made place in your heart!!!"

Shashank:-" I am not looking for apurva!!"

Kuki:-" Oh really, we toh dint even take apurva's name!!"

Amey:-" And moreover why would we take apurva's name!! We toh know where she is!!"

Shashank in flow:-" Where is she???"

Nikhil:-" Are you were toh not looking for her na, then why do you want to know???"

Shashank:-" Nothing like that dada kaka was asking where she is so i just asked!! I don't want to know where she is!!"

When they were discussing this, netra comes near them!!

Netra:-" Hi Shashank sir!!"

Shashank:-" Netra you here??"

Netra:-" Yes actually mama invited me rather requested me to come!! You see apurva has no siblings and you know how apurva is, she keeps on creating problems so mama just invited me so that i can be with apurva and not let her create problems!!"

Nikhil:-" Appu creating any problem wouldn't be a problem for anyone of us!!! Right Shashank??"

Shashank:-" ofcourse!!"

Amey:-" And moreover she has the entire kanitkar family with her, so she creating problems is next to impossible!!"

Kuki:-" And we kanitkar won't even let anyone else create problems on shappu's special day??"

Netra:-" shappu??"

Nikhil:-" Shashank and apurva, abbreviation shappu!! Now their lives are going to be one na, so we thought why not even the name!!"

Netra:-" How childish is this!!"

Amey:-" Dada kaka has approved this name!!! But let it be, even if it is childish its for our Shashank and our Apurva!!! You don't need to worry about the same!!!"

Kuki:-" You are here for apurva na, go she is upstairs!! Getting ready!!"

Netra:-" Oh she is not yet ready!! Understood she must have got up at 12 p.m!! Her morning happens in afternoon!!!"

Before anyone could reply her the female gang of kuki gang was getting apurva down and instead of listening to netra Shashank's eyes were fixed at apruva!!! She was looking very beautiful in the green ghagra!!! Netra was yet standing near Shashank and Shashank was continuslsy staring apurva!!!

Nikhil:-" Appu looks beautiful na today!!! Hai na Shashank!!"

Shashank in flow flow:-" Very beautiful!!"

Netra heard this and to get him out of his zone she calls him:-" Sir!! What are you saying???"

Kuki:-" He is praising his wife's beauty netra!!"

Netra:- "She is not looking that great!!!"

Amey:-" It differs from the eyes seeing it!!!"

Apurva was brought down and made to stand besides Shashank!!!

Mai:-" Bless you both!! And save you both from all evil eyes!!!"

Sua aai does their Pooja and then the mehendi function starts!!!

Mansi:-" Bhauji, there is a ritual that the groom has to select a mehndi design for the bride!!"

Shashank:-" I haven't heard of any such ritual Mansi Vahini!!!"

Sua aai also joins their teasing session:-" No there is such a ritual!!"

Shashank:-" We dint do this in sumi's wedding!!"

Nikhil:-" Are we did, since I was not there they did send me some design photos!!"

Sumi:-" Yes yes dada chalo complete the ritual!!!"

Apurva pulls Shashank's elbow and tells him in his ears:-" Listen khadus please select a short Design!! It's my mehendi function I want to dance and have fun!! Plz select a small one!! I can't sit here for long!!"

Shashank:-" Ok!!" Shashank actually goes through every design and selects one for apurva!!!

Mansi:-" Wahhh bhauji you actually went through all the designs and then selected the best one!!"

Apruva:-" Are but this is so long, this will take time!!"

Shashank:-" Are but all of them are long only!!! And actually you know good for you for sometime atleast there will be peace here!!"

Apurva:-" Khadus you na!!!"

Shashank holds her hand and gives it to the mehendi girl!!

Netra:-" Shashank sir how's this design!! Help me in selecting something good na!!"

Shashank:-" I don't understand much in all this netra!! Plz you select your design yourself!!"

Netra:-" But you selected for apurva na!!"

Shashank:-" She is my to be wife, and this is a ritual.. .and plus i had some idea what would be her choice, so i could select easily for her!!"

Sumi:-" Come netra i shall help you!!"

Netra was highly upset by this and moreover Shashank's words that i knew her choice and could easily select for her hitted her hard!!!

All the females were applying mehendi and songs were playing and everyone was having fun!!! The male gang of kuki gang was dancing and entertaining everyone!!

It was almost 3 hrs and appu was yet applying mehendi!!

Apurva:-" Khadus!! See na where is Sarika attya call her na please!!"

Shashank:-" Here she is!!!"

Apurva:-" Are atti you also applied mehendi??"

Sarika:-" Ya see, i am just done!! See how is it???"

Apurva:-" Very nice!!"

Apruva was hungry!! She hardly had anything in the morning as she got up late!! She saw everyone almost all had applied mehendi, she couldn't tell anyone else that she was hungry!! She got upset and was sitting there for her mehendi to get completed!!!

Shashank understood that she was hungry, but wasn't telling him!!! He goes and gets a plate full of food and comes and sits besides apurva!!!

Shashank eating himself:-" Wahh Sarika attya, this paneer sabji this is so good you made it???"

Sarika:-" No we have hired a cook for these functions!!"

Shashank:-"This is delicious!! This gulam jamun!! Wahh!!"

He was eating as if showing he was enjoying a lot!!!

Apurva:-" Khadus!!"

Ignoring apurva:-" Wahhh!! This pakoda!! Wahhh!!!"

Apurva loudly calling:-" Khadusssss!!!"

Shashank:-" What???"

Through her eyes she shows his plate to him!!!

Shashank:-" What i am not understanding anything!!"

Apruva getting angry:-" You na khadus know everything, you just acting!! You knew I was hungry and all this drama so that just i ask you na...go now i dont want to eat!!!"

Shashank breaks a bite and takes in front of her mouth!!! She looks at him , he through her eyes tells her to eat!!! She eats and then Shashank keeps feeding her!!! When she was done eating almost more than half of the food Shashank questions her!!

Shashank:-" if you were so hungry, you could have just told me na???"

Apurva:-" I thought you would shout at me again!!!"

Shashank;-" Are why would I shout at you for being hungry!!"

Apurva:-" I got up late na and could not have breakfast so i thought you would shout at me for getting up late!!"

Apurva:-" Feed me gulam jamun!! That's my favourite!!!" She easily diverted the topic!!!

That's when they hear a click!!

Shashank:-" What??"

Shashank:-" Amey dada!! She was hungry, so i just fed her!!"

Netra:-" Everyone gives her attention except Shashank sir na so she must have done all this for his attention!!!"

Appu was a bit hurt by this which was noticed by Shashank!!!

Shashank:-" She never told me anything!!! I am her to be husband and its my responsibility to understand her needs!! And more over apurva vartak doesn't need any attention, she doesn't try to get attention it's she naturally gets attention....that's her good nature that makes people give her attention!! And netra you are here as a guest don't cross your limits as a guest!!!"

Apurva was stunned at Shashank's reply she was proud of him and otherside netra was burning in jealousy she just left the function immediately!!!

Part 4:- That feeling- Belonged!!

When netra was leaving she met apurva outside!!!

Netra:-" you know what Apurva, you may have applied mehndi in the name of Shashank sir, but this will never show its colour.... because Shashank sir doesn't love you!! You are nothing but just a forced baggage on him which will get rid off in a year!! Shashank sir will be able to live a peaceful life only after a year....when this unwanted person leaves his life!!"

Apurva was hurt by her words but she yet decided to answer:-" Its his life na, don't worry he will see how he has to handle this baggage....you don't take his tension!!"

Netra:-" He is pretty close to me so shares things with me so i know how unwanted you are in his life and you will realise that soon!!!"

Saying this netra leaves, but apurva was hurt by her words!! Shashank had just seen netra leaving and apurva getting upset by something, he dint knew what the matter was!! The entire function after netra leaving apurva tried to be happy for everyone but shashank knew she was upset and that dint go well with him, he wanted to know the reason but he knew apurva would never tell him directly!!! He tried few times but was unsuccessful!!! Feeling defeated after the function they all left home as next day was an important one, it was shappu's engagement!!!

It was night and neither was apurva sleepy nor Shashank!!!

Shashank to himself:-" Shall i call her once!!! But what will I say why did i call her???"

Thinking about all this he bymistake calls her and realising it immediately disconnects it!!!

Apurva sees the miscall and thinks why did he give her miscall!!! Apurva calls him back!!!

Shashank:-" Sorry sorry!! It was by mistake i called you!!"

Apurva:-" Ohhh ok ok!!!"

Apurva:-" Wait!!! You have a surprise for me!! Like the khadus kanitkar has a surprise for me???"

Shashank:-" Yes!!! This khadus kanitkar has a surprise for you??"

They keep arguing for few minutes that whose surprise for the other one would be unexpected!!

Shashank:-" Ok done!!! And if i win and i surprise you then you have to promise me one thing!! For the entire day tom you will ignore netra!!!"

Shashank:-" Listen apurva!! Tomorrow is our day, our families are very happy for us!! Whatever we are doing is for our family then on our day you getting upset, will make them sad as well!! (In mind and me as well) So just ignore her and be happy making everyone happy!!!"

Shashank:-" Chalo now sleep off!! We have a big day tomorrow!!"

Greeting each other both sleep off....it was indeed a big day for them tomorrow!!!

The next morning arrived!! The morning at vartak and kanitkar's wasn't different!!! At both houses people were running here and there.... making things perfect!! After all at one place it was their most adorable son's engagement, toh at the same time at other place it was their one and only one princess's engagement!!! Both the families dint want to leave only stone untouched for this beautiful occasion!!!

But there were two people for whom the same morning brought different emotions, new hopes, some different kind of feeling which they were not able to understand...was this love ofcourse not!! Yet their was a long way for them to fall in love, but then what was this, both left it for the time to decide!!!!

Apurva gets up in the morning seeing the commotion happening, she realised it's her engagement today...and without her knowing she had a smile on her face!!!

She immediately took her phone and messaged someone:-" Good morning khadus!!! Everyone is saying it's our special day and i don't know i do feel the same!!! But khadus think of a song....i am sure to surprise you!!!"

Shashank was up long back, he sees his phone beeping but unfortunately there were some other people who reached his phone before him!!!

Amey:-" Ohohoooo!! Message from apurva vartak!!!"

Nikhil:- "Wahhh wahhh kya baat hai!!"

Sumi:-" But dada don't you think this vartak should now change to kanitkar??"

Shashank smartly:-" She is becoming a kanitkar, but doesn't mean she is loosing her identity of vartak!!!" Saying this he quickly grabs his phone and keeps it in his pocket!!!

Kuki:-" Are let us see what she has messaged!!!"

Shashank:-" she must have messaged you as well go and check your phones!!"

Nikhil showing his phone:-" Are but she has not messaged us!!"

Shashank:-" exactly!! Which means the message is for me!! So now i need to change you all go and get ready!!!"

They try to get his phone, but he runs of downstairs the gang runs behind him and the theif police catching session had started!!!

Mai:-" Are what's going on???"

Amey:-" Mai, you catch Shashank!!"

Vittal da:-" Are atleast today leave that child alone...it's his day!!!"

Nikhil:-" The very reason we can't leave him alone...it's his day!!"

The catch was yet on....but there was this one person who was standing in the corner with happy tears in her eyes!!!

Panna:-" Are sua vahini, what happened??"

Sua:-" Look at Shashank!! He is laughing, he is smiling... teasing his own people!! In short except his books he is enjoying life!!! Dada kaka was correct, the peace and happiness that Shashank misses in life, apurva will get it and see today the glimpse of their happy future!!!"

Her tears showed her happiness and she was right... Shashank and apurva were those incomplete selves completing each other!!!

Shashank has smartly ditched the gang and ran to his room shutting the door!!! He took out his phone and read the message!!!

Shashank replies:-" Good morning shisht!! The morning is definitely special!!! I would really like if both of us win today's challenge!! Be ready to be surprised!!!!"

Wishing each other a lovely morning both were in their world getting ready for each other to enter each other's world!!!

Shashank was ready by now and finally had opened the door of his room...for the gang to enter and tease him!!! He knew once they see him teasing were on his way...but today he dint mind those teasing....bcz today he was doing things for his shisht....and that's what matterd more!!!

Kuki:-" Ohoohhh....our navar dev (dulha) is ready!!"

Everyone together standing in one line:-" Ya ya right!!!"

They all tease him, but at the end hug him!!! Like a group hug!!! That's what family is for... teasing you but yet making you feel the most secured as well!!!

But the case at vartak's place was different!!! There was no one to tease apurva!!! She kind of got ready all alone with the help of the lady who had come to make her ready!! But yet there was some peace on her face!! May be her heart knew...today was the last day when she had no one to tease her...from Tom she will have a full bunch of people to be called as hers....and all these relations would come by just adding that one relation in her life!! But all this was what her heart knew....but to accept this it would take time!!!

Sarika:-" Oh my god...appu you look so beautiful!!!"

Meanwhile Dr. Kaushik enters to ask if apurva was ready....but his legs stopped at the door itself!!! There were tears in his eyes!!!

Apurva:-" Are baba, why are you crying???"

Kaushik:-" You look like a Princess today!! These are happy tears thinking of the bright future of my this princess!!"

Saying this he hugs apurva!! Seeing your daughter in the bridal attire is every parents dream but at the same time it's the most difficult situation for them as well...they have to bid off their Princess as well!!!

While apurva was waiting in her room for her khadus to come, but there was this unwanted guest that paid her the visit!!!

Netra:-" Looks like you have dressed up to impress Shashank sir!!! But let me tell you a secret about Shashank sir, you see i tend to know him more than you do!!! Her words had started affecting apurva, she closed her eyes in annoyance when she reacalled Shashank's words "apurva!! Tomorrow is our day, our families are very happy for us!! Whatever we are doing is for our family then on our day you getting upset, will make them sad as well!! So just ignore her and be happy making everyone happy!!!"

Apurva answers back to nerta:-" This childish, immatured girl apurva vartak doesn't dress up for anyone netra Tai!!! I do what i feel like doing!! And about khadus, he may share many things with you, but let me tell you he listens to many but does what his heart says to him!! So let him only decide how do I look!!"

Netra:-" I understand Shashank sir!!"

Apurva:-" Exactly my point Netra tai!! You understand Shashank SIR!!! And i am marrying khadus!! There is a difference Netra tai!!! He is Shashank sir for you...but for me he is just my khadus!! Leave it Netra tai, you are highly educated girl...these basic things you won't understand!!!"

Saying this appu goes and does her touch up while feeling angry netra leaves!!!

Shashank and apurva both were ready in their attires to surprise each other!!!! It was time, Shashank and family had arrived at the Vartak's for the most awaited event, the engagement of the Rajkumar of the kanitkar's and rajkanya of the Vartak's!!!!

Shashank as soon as he entered was searching for apurva....but alas she was no where to be found!!!

Nikhil:-" inthaa hogi pyaar ki!!!"

Amey:-" Dikhi na kahi shakal ise iski yaar ki!!"

Apurva was dresses in an off white saree!! She had minimal make up, with her hairs left open!! Mang tika Making her head shine bright!!! (Imagine the look of Alia Bhatt from her wedding except the veil ofcourse)!!

Shashank had seen apurva in different attires even in saree, but seeing her in the off-white saree today, he was clean bowled!!!

While coming down only apurva had seen Shashank....it dint take a second for her to understand that he had colour cordinated with her!! Her wish to have a theme wedding was fulfilled by him, without even her knowing about it and this had brought a big smile on her face!!!! They both were starring at each other, Shashank was standing near the steps only as kuki gang had in advance only brought him here!! They both were so into their starring session that apurva missed one step and was about to fall...but how can that happen when she had her khadus to save her!!! Shashank immediately caught her!!! But she dint stand up immediately nor did Shashank straighten her up, they both went into the flashback of two times when they met the same way.... first meeting and diwali pooja!!! As soon as Shashank straighten her up, they looked at each other and started laughing remembering the incident!!!!

Netra:-" You were just about to fall and here you are laughing on that fact!!! How stupid can you be apurva!!"

Kuki:-" Netra!!! When you don't know things you shouldn't speak!!! They are laughing on history repeating!! The only difference is...before two times they were fighting with each other and the progress is now they are laughing!!!! Let it be you won't understand!!"

After finally stopping, Shashank forwarded his hand to apurva which she accepted and they both hand in hand walked towards stage...or towards togetherness!!!

As soon as they were in stage...kuki and amey took over the stage!!

Amey:-" Ladies and gentlemen!!

Kuki:-" Young people like me and oldies like dada kaka, we all welcome you all to the engagement for our loving couple shappu i.e our Shashank kanitkar and apurva vartak!!!! Talliya!!!!So before we begin the engagement function we shall have some fun!!! And where there is kukki there is fun nakki!!!"

Amey:-" So we are going to play this game with our couple of the day and let's see who wins!!!"

Evryone claps and the game begins!!

Netra:- "No it's just that apurva doesn't know shahsank sir much na, so i just helped apurva!!!"

Apurva confidently:-" In that case netra Tai!!! Don't help me, because even you don't know khadus at all!!! His work is important to him, but he can survive without his institute, but he cannot live without is his family!!! For whose happiness he can go to any extent!!! (Slowly even marrying me)))!!! Everyone clap for her answer whereas netra was highly jealous!!! Now it was Shashank's turn to burst the balloon!!!

Kuki:-" Since someone is spoiling our moods we shall move to next question!! As i am sure...being her own sister....she will have no answers for questions about her sister!!!"

Apurva:-" No kuki wait!!! But her answer was wrong!!!"

Shashank was confused and so were everyone because according to all that was the only answer!!

Amey:-" Appu that was the right answer!!"

Apurva:-" No dada!! I mean to say ofcourse being scientist of the year was his big achievement....but the biggest was the proud and happy feeling he saw in each one of your eyes for winning that award...that was his biggest achievement!!!"

Everyone were stunned at her answer....it was may be a small thing....but it had a great meaning!! The first one to clap for her answer was Shashank!! Today he was really proud of his to be wife!!!!

Not because she can't answer back...it simply because more than your taunts the day is important to her!!! But that doesn't give you the right to insult her everytime!! So don't cross your limits!!"

Mansi slowly into netra's ears:-" He may be Shashank for the entire world....but he is khadus only to his shisht....and thats why that name in her mehendi matters more!!!"

Sumi;-" Are wahhh appu!!! Khadus k naam ki mehndi ka raang toh bahut jyada khila hai!!!"

Mansi:-" It's love sumi love!!!"

Apurva recalls yesterday's netra's words about her mehndi Colour...and she sees her mehndi!!! It was pretty dark!!! Even she was surprised....but there was this happy feeling in her heart!!!!

Shashank takes her hand in his hand and there was an electric current that passed both their bodies, it wasn't their first touch or anything but it were the emotions today that made this current pass!!! Shashank starts searching his name!!

He searches for the second letter H...he finds H written at the end of index finger...that's how he finds every fingers end had one letter written....KHADU....now only S was left!!

Apurva:-" Desperate attempt mr. Khauds.... couldn't resist me in saree!! Or were so surprised seeing me in saree!!!"

Shashank:-" You definitely surprised me wearing a saree....but apurva looks ok in saree!!!"

Apurva's mouth hung open at this...she grew upset at this!!!! Shashank realised...he made a mistake teasing her!!!

Shashank slowly in apurva's ears:- "Apurva looks ok!! But since my Shisht has got ready for her this khadus today....so shisht looks like a Princess....who has just come from heaven!!!!(In his mind may be for me)!!! And shisht....this song is dedicated to you!!"

Saying this he goes in the middle of the hall!!

To making me ignore netra Tai so that i could enjoy the most!!! Thank you for everything khadus!!! And one more thing!!! My khadus looks pretty much handsome today!!!"

Shashank blushes at this!!!

Shashank:- " My shisht is also no less!!! You coming out of your comfort zone wore saree (looking into her eyes) just for me!!! And you look extraordinarily beautiful....i dont have words to describe your beauty!!! And i meant every word of the song!! We may maybe not like each other right now...but yet seeing this happy family of mine....thank you shisht for coming in my life!!!"

Apurva:-" Thank you khadus for accepting me in your life!!!"

With they starring at each other and kuki gang taking their is picture....the engagement ends on a good note!!!!

They definitely were not in love by the end of the engagement, but the feeling that was going on within them was of belonging!! That ring on their finger meant they belonged to each.... falling in love was for time to decide....but currently they were just happy at the feeling of being belonging to each other....the belonging that would last for life....the belonging that was built on trust....the belonging that was the root of their relationship!!!

Being belonged to each was their first step towards being loved by each other!!
