She has made Priya believe that Ram takes all the decisions. She tells Priya that she supports Ram so that she doesnt make him feel sautela. Watch initial episodes

Priya relationship with Ram's side of family is through Ram. She is not close to anyone except Shivi. So she knows that Ram considers Nandini like his own mom. So when Nandini told about her insecurity, she just did what Ram would have done, give some assurance. She spoke as a wife of Ram and not as Priya. Once she understands Nandini's true colors, she will be in her sherni avataar

Her behavior doesn't seem off to me

We have often discussed here about how Priya ‘gets’ Nandini’s superficiality (if not fakeness) & has sensibly kept a formal distance.
The CVs have completely subverted that with these ‘meri sauteli saas mamta ki devi hai’ dialogues. Kabhi judge nahin kiya???????!!!!!! Lovvvess Ram so much as mom that she did not spend one minute making a kichdi or sitting by his bedside when he was sick?

How dare the CVs dumb down this amazing character that is Priya? 😡

The annulment track on KC day… the kitchen convo… was there any element of doubt to gauge Nandini’s negative vibes…

So not sure why ITV has to dumb down the leads… and why a ideal DIL is naive, forgiving and all accepting.

True Nandini is a very good manipulator and there is no reason why Priya would suspect her being the mastermind of all conspiracies

But what Priya said yesterday about Nandini never judging her or her family is not true. She very much judged her taunted her infact indirectly called her not equal to her status on the marriage day itself..

Even during the roka issue with Neeraj and Shubham issue during marriage she dominated Meera in a very condescending way ..

She taunted her once again during KC by throwing the annulment papers beneath the sieve . Priya is not stupid to not understand she is not welcomed here.

Priya has also witnessed Nandini accusing Akki twice without even giving him a chance of explanation..

But since she always sheds crocodile tears and apologizes, one can still let it go..

What I don't understand is why Priya keeps Nandini on such a high pedestal for her to say " aap Ram ko jaan se zyaad pyaar karti hai "

Why couldn't Nandu remember even the birthday of the son whom she apparently loves more than her life??

Priya did have a monologue then " Yaad rakhne ki zaroorat nahi samjhi hogi "

Lastly why would Ram cry his heart out to Priya of feeling like an orphan if Nandini is such a good mother..

So I am not able to relate to Priya admiring Nandini so much !!

I get that she empathizes her struggles of being a young widow, but putting her on such a high pedestal seems off to me ..

Priya's character has been dumbed down..no question about that.

But where it comes to Nandu, every instance she has been a villain, can be put down to the fact that she's a disturbed/concerned mother. Also, whenever Nandu gets caught, she immediately serves up a fake apology..haath jodhke sorry bol deti hai. So a straightforward (not naive) person like Pri will not doubt her intent unless she has reason to. Even yesterday's episode, Nandu was expecting Ram but Priya showed up..and she switched gears almost instantly.

My positive take away from Nandu-Pri's interactions are that Pri doesn't beat around the bush, so it's hard for Nandu to take the same route she does with Ram. Yesterday, I loved how assertively Pri told her to not punish Ram for thinking about himself for the first time. ❤️
