The Sita maiyya one is so apt, also I guess Gul should have researched Goddess Sita doesn't get worshipped without Ram. And they show maa Parvati murti whenever they mention Sita.
My family is more of the Shiv-Parvati pujaran line(We are brahmin and worship Power and Meditation though by profession both my dad and me are engineers) so I really never felt for the Ram Krishna fanatics. Neither Sita nor Radha is worshipped in Singular way, Ram is Maryada Puroshttam and Krishna is the Universe but what are the features of Sita and Radha except being one wife and the other lover. (Don't kill me pls for my opinion)
BOLD: I literally went on google to see if there indeed was any region around UP that worships Sita Maiyya exclusively and if she is idolized as the Goddess of power. I thought Videha/Janaka kingdom is the present day Bihar, jharkhand, sikkim area not UP. I am Bengali so we are basically very much devotee of Shakti in all her forms especially as Maa Kaali and Maa Durga. I found no link with Sita.
Not to deviate from the discussion and hurting anyone's religious sentiments but it boiled my blood to visit the Hindu temples here in US. They have idols and names in english for the occasional Non Hindu visitors and they describe all the Goddesses as "consort" of the Gods.. As if that is all a deity is. "Sita Consort of Rama" "Rukmini Consort to Krishna" "Radha consort to Lord Krishna"
Last year I was standing close to a white couple during Arti and they were saying , "Why do all the Male Gods have 2 female consorts?" And I was like....GOSH! at least give our Gods a good representation in videsh! Itna Raita failaya hai ab kis kis ko samjhaye?
