The director of patiala house nikhil advani confirmed that ranveer auditioned to play the small role of akshays brother in law, if ranveers dad was buying him a film why would ranveer have to audition for these small roles? He got noticed due to these auditions and him meeting casting directors, that is what most people who are trying to become actors do, they try to get noticed by the right people

that call was from shanoo, the casting director, coz it’s her job to recommended people to audition for yrf films. So nothing different about the story.

Ranveer gatecrashed a party that shanoo attended, at that time shanoo at that time had not joined yrf but she was a casting director for some agencies, she saw ranveer dancing at the party and she told him that he should be part of movies coz she thought he was charming and he danced well. Ranveer at that time wasn’t thinking about joining films as he was going to college in America and he planning on being a copy righter, but him and shanoo gave each other their contacts and stayed in touch. Whilst at university he did some acting workshops for fun but then he realised he really loved acting, so he completed his degree and came back to India and started working on a portfolio and meeting casting directors. He joined a theatre group and he started working as an AD for shaad Ali on adverts. At this time shanoo became a casting director for yrf, when band bajaa baraat auditions were going on she thought ranveer fir the role of bittoo, so she recommended him to aditya chopra and then ranveer got a call from her to audition for the role, and that’s the whole story

Being SRK's daughter had nothing to do with it! Neither did being the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan or the daughter of Sridevi😆

No no, these kids and grandkids of well-entrenched mega actors got their launch roles with Zoya Akhtar on the basis of merit and nothing else 👏

So one should applaud the fact that Suhana is getting a low-key launch with Zoya, as opposed to the mega launch she would have had with her dad or Kjo?
