I only believe in one God, just one higher power up there. so it's really hard for me to explain to non-Hindus when they ask me which Gods/Goddesses I worship. ☢️ Some argue that I don't get to pick and choose but what do they know anyway. I am kinda tired of explaining to people that I don't worship "idols" or stones but rather a higher power that manifests itself in any shape and form, living and non-living being.

I like the chants not because I'm a Shiva devotee but it brings a sense of calmness, inner peace .... just feeling connected to something higher up works for me. :)

Yup...all our mantras if chanted correctly have the ability to calm one down.....when I am anxious ....I keep chanting the Gayatri mantra and Mahamrityunjai jaap...and it calms me down instantly...😊

I tell u an easy way.

God is one but can assume different shapes & functions and hence names. For ex. Water.

Water, i.e ground water or water when used for germination of seeds (i.e. giving life) is Brahma. Rain Water or water when used for growth & sustenance of that seedling to become a plant or tree is Vishnu. And finally flood water or water that uproots that plant and takes away it's life is Shiva.

Same water different properties, functions and names. Same God different properties, functions and names.

> Being around people who make me laugh/bring me comfort

> Really pretty trees, bodies of water, mountains, esp when you can hear birds chirping in the background or just quietness

> Cute baby animals

> Squirrels nibbling on nuts

> Seeing ducks waddle around

> Iced coffee smiley27

> Food so good that I have to thank the universe for giving me the opportunity to have it

Making my parents and friends smile ☺️

Sunrise and sunsets 🌄🌅

A meaningful and faithful prayer

Listening to the songs which are apt for the situation🎧

Mild winds, breeze, drizzling, rainbow ☔🌈

watching Moon and it's phases, stars 🌒🌓⭐💫

Nature- trees, earthy smell, flowers, ocean, ponds, lake, valleys 🌺🌿🌳⛰️🏞️

Watching flock of birds making shapes in the sky,

Poetry, books, dramas which takes you to another world, drifts your thoughts and make you a part of it.

I'll stop it here coz I can go on and 😆
