Imlie's Saviour Complex

I genuinely believe that Imlie has a severe saviour complex, it's not a bad thing per se but can be annoying after a point. I think she feels the inherent need to save everyone around her, be it the Ts (from their million problems), be it the Rathores (by getting married to ASR to save Nirmala and Arpi), be it Aryan (Arvind's case) and now on to Arpi (by raising the topic of her re-marriage).

Maybe her upbringing moulded her this way; there was hardly anyone to protect and save her and Meethi from the many obstacles they faced in Pagdandiya, so Imlie took it upon herself to save themselves. It was a bold choice, she's still hardly 20 years and still feels like the burden of the world is on her shoulders. I know she can do anything but I hope Aryan makes her realise that it's okay to let things happen and not feel the need to do anything about something, that it's okay to enjoy your life for yourself and not feel responsible for everything and everyone.

Strictly my opinion, what do you guys think?

That's a typical ITV ML/FL trait, so I'm not holding my breath for that to change any soon for any of them.

She does have a severe savior complex. Though it's not the only one she has. Plus she is super overconfident and thinks she's always right because she's doing it for the greater good🤪and makers celebrate her character after these stunts.

But the problem is that it comes off nasty and distasteful most of the times. Because although her intentions are noble, she basically makes it her life mission and shoves her idealogy down people's throats.

And with that her methods are also questionable. And when she is so focused, she becomes insensitive. Like that room cleaning scene and now the way she's pushing Arpi like that. This needs to stop. I hope Aryan gives her a reality check again.

If she didn’t have this complex she will not be the lead of the show. Its not saviour complex. It mahanta complex. U have to be mahan in any given situation. The first drama today with Bm leaving was ok. But thr second time round. She could gave simply stated all that equality thing. But no she had go and wipe BM’scface drap phool pati n maje her fall on the floor. I get that it had to dramatic but this was equivalent to throwing water on beauty contestants. Why do u think its ok to touch anyone without their permission imlaiya

Mental complexities, traumas and disorders are for feeble minded real people like us. There is no such thing in ITV land🤪

Especially our imliya is a super womaniya. How can she be weak enough to have a complex????

In imlie land, there's no such thing as depression or mental complexities. Only certain specific traumas more like fear of fire, death of Loved one etc. And those are easy to cure. Simply put yourself in that situation again. And bamm you're cured😃

I don't think Aru has savior complex. The wedding thing was his fear . Fear of losing her. He didn't want to loose her yet doesn't want to name his feelings .
