Abhi blasts the Birlas saying that they took advantage of him not being there. They don’t even know what happened. He says that Akshara won’t go anywhere. He doesn’t let go of her hand. Throughout the episode, he was switching between Akshu and Akshara. He is still mad at her. His trust is still broken. And, his insecurities are still at an all time high. Despite that, he goes to the ends of the earth for her. That is love.
Abhi says that Manjari wants to take the case back, so he is on board. Akshu thanks him, but the second Aarohi does, he tells her to shut up and that he would have killed her if he wasn’t Akshu’s sister. He says that the same sister she hates saved her once again. Abhi looks at Akshu and says that if Aarohi does anything else, then he will be done. He is firm. This is the final straw.
At this point, Aarohi has harmed the 2 people that mean the most to Abhi in the entire world. She almost killed Manjari and she takes advantage of Akshu, manipulating her and abusing her. His hatred is entirely justified. But, his love for Akshu is stronger than his hate for her…hence, he doesn’t send her to jail.
Harsh tries to instigate Abhi says that Akshu is more important than Manjari for him. Instead of getting instigated, Abhi tells him that he knows nothing about Manjari. He doesn’t care for her, and he is just taking advantage of the situation to hurt Abhira + Manjari, and he won’t let that happen. He says that no matter what, Akshu will become Mrs. Abhimaniyu Birla. He has seen right through Harsh’s game.
Then, the highlight of the entire episode. Abhi finally tells the Goenkas what they have needed to hear forever. Aarohi blackmails Akshu, manipulates her, abuses her. Uses Sirat’s death against her. But, Akshu also lost a mom, and yet she does none of the above. He says that it is because of them that this situation has arisen. They always give Aarohi a free pass. Abhi sees how deeply abused Akshu is by Aarohi, and why she is the way she is. He understands her pain. But, he cannot let her suffer anymore. He is literally trying to save her from her abuser.
Aarohi tries to cry and victimize herself, but no one falls for it.
Abhi asks why Akshu should be punished when Aarohi was driving, and Harsh tells him that Akshu confessed. At this point, Abhi lets go of her hand. This triggers him so badly. This is what leads him to bring the condition. He knows that as long as Aarohi is in Akshu’s life, she will continue to take advantage of her. Yes, he is deeply insecure that he will never be her priority, but on top of that, he sees Aarohi destroying Akshu’s life.
After putting forth the condition, Abhi turns his back. He cannot see Akshu in pain, so he says he is going to wait outside. He says he knows it is a really hard decision, and he is sorry for giving her problems, but not the condition.
As he is walking outside, the same song plays that is played when they separate after tilak 1 and when he finds out the truth about the fire photo. This is a huge tilak 1 parallel. The way Abhi is walking out, and Akshu is left crying. Both times, she was stuck in between Aarohi and Abhi. Last time, she chose Aarohi, and this time, she will choose Abhi. Like she always has. Every time it has come down to it, Akshu has chosen Abhi. No question. She left Aarohi at the mandap for Abhi, and now she will agree to get married at her mandap without Aarohi.
I don’t blame her at all for not immediately agreeing. This trauma instilled in her won’t go away any time soon. Aarohi is a part of her… a burden and responsibility that she thinks is love. She is so deeply abused that she doesn’t even know or realize what Aarohi does to her.
And, the Goenkas finally play the role that they should have played years ago. If they had done what they did today years back, Akshu wouldn’t be the person she is today…and neither would Aarohi. Aarohi wouldn’t have abused Akshu this much, and Akshu wouldn’t be so traumatized.
Yesterday, we saw Manjari guide Abhi. And today, we finally see Akshu’s family guiding her. The elders that she was missing in her life finally spoke up. Way too late, but Abhi opened their eyes.
Manish says that Akshu has to separate her relationships from right and wrong. When it comes to Aarohi, Akshu loses her senses due to Aarohi’s manipulations. He tells her to go tell Abhi that she will marry him no matter what. What Aarohi did was a crime, and it was even more wrong for her to tell Akshu to hide it from Abhi. He says that Abhira cannot be punished for something Aarohi did. All of the elders, including AG, agree with Manish. Manish says that Aarohi was given way too much freedom and she took Akshu’s spot in this family. Finally, these people have opened their eyes. Akshu collapses crying, but this is the reality check she has needed for all of these years. She needs to know that she cannot let Aarohi’s manipulations haunt her for the rest of her life.
My heart entirely collapsed for Akshu today, just like it did for Abhi.
Meanwhile, Abhi is sitting on his bike crying…remembering all of his moments with Akshu. The Birlas come out and try to instigate him. Again, Harsh says that Akshu will obviously choose Aarohi. Manjari finally speaks up and says it’s not that easy. Manjari knows better than anyone what it is like to be stuck between 2 people… an abuser you cannot let go of and are emotionally attached to & someone who loves you unconditionally — Abhi and Harsh. She has been in the same spot as Akshu her entire life, so she gets it.
Parth and Neil try to tell Abhi how hard this must be for Akshu, but Abhi isn’t willing to hear it. He says that he will never be her priority and he is scared for what will happen in the future. He is so hurt right now, and he just needs security. He needs to know that Akshu will choose him, who loves her more than anything else, over Aarohi, who has given her nothing but pain. In this moment, all of his insecurities are justified. He is in so much pain and trauma with everything that has happened. He does not realize that Akshu has always chosen him and gone against her family when it came down to it, leaving aside that first rejection... which is the root of his pain that exacerbated all of his childhood traumas about relationships and love. He needs to regain his trust in her… he needs to know that she ran to tell him the truth the second she found out too. I am waiting for that conversation desperately.
As for the precap, I knew Aarohi would be whitewashed, and I am not surprised. At this point, I don’t really care. I just want Abhira to have a happy wedding, that’s all.
