- Manjari was quite sensible today when she pointed out that for one to be right, their opponent doesn't have to be wrong. What's one person's truth (6) can be another's lie (9). Though I did find her reactions intriguing as she wasn't quite sold on the idea that the sisters did it. It seemed like she was puzzled because something else was going on in her head (spaced out, kind of).
- Aarohi didn't volunteer Akshu's name to the police. I'm pleasantly surprised. Though I'm not sure she'll correct Akshu and admit it (please do Aaru, please do something that makes you a better person cause you're not doing so well right now).
- I'm glad Abhi's being very open and clear about his feelings. It's not just that she "hid" this accident truth from him (their car hit his mom), it's that she lied to him on the phone when he inquired about her wellbeing (the day of the accident) and hid that she and Aaru were in an accident, to begin with. Part of his reaction is pent-up anger that he didn't express earlier. He believes she neglected his feelings in several incidences and I sympathize with him because that is such a sad feeling.
Some things are cleared up...
- Over the last few days, the forum has been speculating/talking about why Akshu didn't apologize to Manjari. Today it's clear that she never intended to because she didn't want Manjari to learn this truth. She spent a good chunk of the episode worrying that Abhi told Manjari the truth. It's contradictory behaviour for Akshu because she insisted earlier (during the Abrohi wedding track) that relationships cannot be built on lies but that is what she's doing right now. I don't necessarily blame her as she fears losing another mother, her Manjari Maa, and that's a risk she's not willing to take (I wouldn't either).
- Aarohi is over Abhira's shaadi (isn't trying to spoil it and hasn't since before the card swap incident), as she was happily dancing today, Goenka style, and talking to her sister like normal sisters do at wedding functions.
Questions
- I don't know what this episode says about the Goenka's - are they all particularly dull about Akshu's moods (unable to tell that she's abnormally tensed) or is Aarohi more observant for Akshu than she lets on?
- Will Manjari speak up in front of the police and say that Akshu's lying and Aarohi drove the car or will she let Akshu go down for this until Abhi interwines?
- Is Akshu even thinking about Abhi when the police show up or are she protecting Aarohi on autopilot? Because if she was thinking of him, I doubt she'd make the same choice. When Abhi learns Akshu lied to the police, he's going to be so upset, and see it as evidence that Akshu chooses Aarohi over him.
