I agree with you. Lots of inconsistencies in Priya's character and not so many in Ram's.

It's easy when it's a man - his lashing out is excused, his rudeness is brushed aside, his cynicism is romantized

Women are usually portrayed as Manic Pixie Dreamgirls or free ki therapists.

That's why they're having difficulties in showing a cynical woman who's slowly accepting the good things that are coming her way.
