Right. And *these people* was not about passive-aggressive otherizing.
In case you seriously didn't understand:
"These Indians* are so...
"These black men" are so...
"These lower-caste women" are so...
Try to complete any of those sentences without feeling like a bigot.
These Indians are not so innocent.. There i completed it and i did not feel like a bigot
If you feel something then that is your problem

Seriously.....its like the white people chirping in the BLM...that white lives matter too.....no one mocks heterosexuality....we all know that...
Of course when homosexuality is used as an insult or to mock some one it is mocking the LGBTQ community...its like Aunty being used to mock a person for her age and then someone quips....oh Aunty is not an abuse ...of course even the mildest word becomes an abuse when the INTENTION is to insult...it is all about the INTENTION....we are in 2022.....and there is a community that is still being hounded and mocked for who they are...I have said this before....the least we can do is not encourage those who are mocking them...
Very well put 👏
I’m bi, my best friend is straight. We work together and we spent at least 12-14hrs together each day. That doesn’t mean we are romantically linked together. This kind of lgbtq+ jokes seems normal to others…but for us it’s very offensive.. and they sugarcoat it as “joke”

That's true. I suppose anyone could wake up one day and suddenly become homophobic. All of a sudden. With no warning. Even though they've supported gay rights since forever. It could happen. For sure. 👏

We romantically link-up celebs all the time. Whether straight or gay. This forum's entire existence is on the basis of such rumours. But there is no malice for anyone. I don't see why gay people cannot be joked about. They are like anybody else and do not need any special privileges.
Ayan and Ranbir have been linked for ages, in fact it is Ranbir's longest enduring link-up through his relationships with various women. So to say that Ayan must be sad to see Ranbir officially become someone else's... what's there to take offense here?
Suddenly my respect for KJO has increased manifold. He has endured the worst of jokes and nastiest of comments and yet been unapologetic about his sexuality. That's the way to go! Being overly sensitive and trying to shut everyone down doesn't help but being self accepting and unapologetic does! But then it's just my opinion.
I agree, ideally, it's not good to make jokes on lgbt, or even obese, blind, hakla, age, etc. But not every joke is made with a malicious intention. It's the intention which counts.
Ofcourse some people may not be strong enough and get hurt by such jokes (case in particular channa mereya song). If i were making such jokes personally on any gay man and he took affront then i would stop right there and apologize. But IMO this is quite a harmless joke about unrequited love and if it were used on Kangu or someone else, no-one would have had any issue.
Oh... Now i realise I've written an essay. Damn u IF 😡
Hahaha 🤣 I am humming the same ayan 😢🤣
Wow people get offensive about anything 😅 I think it’’s funny and not homophobic at all 🙁 replace ayan with kangana and everyone will join in with pleasure 😌😆
