As it is in today's world, parents are struggling to build the trust in kids' minds that they will always have their back. I can only imagine how difficult it would be for kids having step parents.

Being a single parent now I tell my girls every chance I get that there is nothing I can't help them with and I try not to react with anger as my first response when they make a mistake!
