V progress from grumpy to coconut through the last 2 weeks.
We finally see some movement. It was imperative for V’s attitude to change for the story to move and at a decent speed. He had completely dispelled Sai refusing to acknowledge her as his wife. Holi was only an insight into the V’s mindset. He was too rigid, rude and insufferable that it was hard to feel that he loved Sai. So the intoxication was only to momentarily lighten up and for us to hold on by showing that in his subconscious mind he still harbours feelings for her. Her constant presence around him and her numerous attempts to pacify him started to wear off the layers he was holding up. Even without his own knowledge. He knows she is making efforts, he was watching, he knew that she cared for him, but he was holding up a part due to his ego and some due to his fear of getting dejected again. That was the physio episodes and the first smile. But till then they were not conversing straight. It was more of like a forced need based convo which he would rather not have. Rude and ignoring her most of the time. Barely any communication.
That changed in these last 2 weeks. Even though he was upset with her for meeting Rajeev and they were arguing, they were finally talking to each other (even if not listening to each other). Then we realised that he had started to listen and register but was refusing to acknowledge it infront of her. He did that with Sunny. And Sunny’s arguments about his faults and Sai’s ordeal brought about a some more conscience awakening. In fact he had also started to find similarities and the dual implications of her words drawing a parallel with Shivani and Rajeev’s life. Someone who had considering the marriage dead was now asking her if she was referring to their personal life.
Today we saw 2 more layers wearing off. He did laugh more freely after the hug. And though his smile did dim a lil when she asked him to smile it didn’t come off completely. In fact when she said support me through this plan even if not truly, it looked more like a smirk like “I caught u, and you wait and watch” kinds. He is now up for a game with her. Like he is not just scheming for Rajeev and Shivani but for Sai as well. The 2nd was when she walked upto him for tying the pagdi. The way he turned around and spoke was like their usual self. He no longer acted his ride or upset mode. He could have considering it was only them. But that proof of change in him.. between them. The conversation has started a lil more freely. That scene stand alone would not give any hint of a fall out between them. So casual, so domestic. And he so easily gives into her demands of making him wear that turban. Is grumpy self would have never allowed it. The way he pleaded to leave him unlike the stern rude way and the way he gave in when she mimicked “Swami” and that childlike cute “please na bandhne do na”(she looked so cute there) was like he could never say no to her and agree to all her rational irrational demands. And the proud smile (open, i dont care who sees it smile and stare) at Rajeev addressing Sai his wife and complimenting her for tying the turban so well. He has come a long way as per his standards 🤣
Food for thought - sami sami ko le aaye. But recollection and flashback nahi laye. I thought with her saying that we would get some flashback. Nope. Holi scenes to post confession/consummation bedroom talk mein hi reveal hoga (agar hoga to). Or else memory lapse zindabad.
