Just wanted to clarify… Actually this is not true. I don’t know why they are bringing a prequel and the point or reason behind it.

But it’s not true that divorce wasn’t planned. Divorce was always on cards. This show is based on sreemoye. Till divorce they followed the og, of course differently executed cuz of Covid etc. Makers were just dragging/extending the show by showing more no of episodes hence divorce was stretched plus Covid was going on. Yes they showed Vanraj’s accident and all.. but even in original Sreemoye, Anindo (Vanraj) gets into an accident and Sreemoye takes care of him and Anindo apologizes to her and wants her back.. so they went the same route except it was executed differently here. But divorce, Anuj’s entry was all planned since the beginning of the show. Rajan Shahi was looking for an actor for Anuj’s chr since a year. Even GK has mentioned this. Anuj Kapadia was mentioned by Devika in episode 26 or 27 and that was for a purpose. So no there was never a anuraj union planned. Anu——Raj were always supposed to get divorced. Anuj was always supposed to enter the show. It’s a different thing that Anuj became much more popular than they probably anticipated but it’s not like they didn’t expect Anuj’s chr to not gain popularity hence the chr was written in such a way everyone loves him.

I agree that they are trying to sell the prequel in Anupama’s / RG’s name, trying to garner sympathy for it. They might be wanting to get some sympathy for Vanraj too I don’t know but yeah this interview or SP just shows he’s delusional and actually believes Vanraj is a victim or something..

Adding more to this -

Anuj was actually supposed to enter in Pakhi’s school’s dance performance function… Anu was also dancing in that event with her students as she used to teach in that school.. And Pakhi and Anu also had a performance together as a mother-daughter. You can watch the epi, it’s episode 335. Anuj is a trustee of Pakhi’s school so he was supposed to enter in that event and actually see Anu dancing and meet her there coincidently but GK couldn’t be finalized by then and they had to wait a bit longer until GK was ready and was available to start shooting so they postponed his entry till Sept…. Which I am actually glad that they did this cuz MaAn meeting in a reunion was a fantastic idea and it actually gave us that iconic Cinderella first meeting and that iconic first dance of MaAn 😛
