The transition was ok. The bakery scene with the embrace yesterday was also not abrupt. What Pri said was right; according to her, she didn't want to interfere in his past. But I am proud she RAISED the right questions for him. Yes, she was very clear about where she was coming. As I answered in BALH2Fan's post earlier today, all she is recapitulating is what happened to her mother and what may happen to her. She is JUST protecting herself from this heartbreak.
As to why she allowed him to apply the balm - apart from symbolism, it is also how he lightened her mood. In her mind, he told her the 'half-truth' and not a 'complete lie.'

So the push Ram needed to confront/talk to Vedika was Shivi? He claims to love his wife, but doesn't make the bare minimum effort to defend himself if she accuses him of infidelity? Was his wife being upset/hurt/angry not enough for him to clear the air with Vedika?

To him, his past is now REVEALED to Pri and the major mistake he did is not disclosing that to her. He said that so, himself, yesterday. So, all he now wants is to prove it to Pri that he loves only her. For that, he needs time and patience. Pri gave him time today to think. He came to know that Pri thinks he could any day turn like MS. That is a very, very big INSULT. So, after knowing Pri's trajectory of thoughts, do you think he will ever think of doing that? Hence, I am sure the office scene has a purpose, and I don't want to jump to a conclusion. And. And. If it turns out exactly what we think, he will contemplate before taking significant action. This is much needed.
And what even is Vedika's plan? So she sent Akki's video threatening her to Priya - - to prove what? Kuch samajh nahi aaya 🤔
Viper knows Pri is mature. If Pri comes to know about the threat, she will connect the dots and realize that there was something brewing between Ram and V, and that's why Akki was protecting her marriage and hence the threat from him to Viper. If Pri had seen this message, she would have NEVER given a chance to Ram to explain his side of the story. PERIOD.
We needed a transition episode today - We got Priya's monologue yesterday, needed Ram's introspection today. But he considers himself blameless, isliye shayad introspect hi nahi karta.
