But saying that it is because of the movie is just stretching it too far. Cases and trials were going on ever since.

Maybe it's streching too far, may its not. Who knows for sure how much impact this movie has had on public. I for one, had read about a few of the gruesome horrors like that of Girija Tickoo, BK Ganju and the Nadimarg massacre but almost all people I have talked to were unaware about all this. Even the older generation had forgotten. But Thanks to TKF a lot of awareness has been created for the Kashmiri Pandits cause. That in itself is a very big achievement, I think.

It’s not anybody’s duty to keep us updated on the current affairs. If we are interested, we can always find enough material to update ourselves. I was a little kid at that time and had no clue but now I know almost all the events that you mentioned above and more, because I chose to read about it and learn about it. For ex,Nandimarg massacre is a very popular incident which has been extensively covered by both the Indian and international media.
