Reposting my views on Mythri/Sara/Bri reactions, from another thread:
There are basically 2 sides to the reveal - (1) that Vedika is the ex, which is a fact (2) that Ram is still desiring to get back with Vedika & doing his duty by Priya, which is an inference based on many things.
I think Pri could have handled the first point well, after initial shock & anger. But the second point is a completely different battle. It it is easy to see how Pri made that inference - Ram’s pre-wedding bheeshma pratigya, his closeness to V, V’s proprietorial behaviour, the private messages on Pri’s phone & on Ram’s laptop, Ram not verbalising his love & retraction of the pratigya, Pri’s own experiences & demons, and above all how Mythri broke the news to her.
It will take a lot of clear words & corrective actions from Ram’s side plus Pri doing her own thinking & slaying her demons, for her to handle point 2 of the reveal. The future track should be all about this.
On all incl Ram:
An important thing to note here is that the others, incl Ram, are not privy to most of the reasons I have listed under point 2. They dont know abt the messages, or how Vedika has been portraying things, or even abt Pri’s inner demons. So, they dont see that Pri has been hit hard by this inference, they are only seeing that she is shocked by discovering the fact that V is the ex, so they may not understand her full angst. They may even wonder why she is taking it so badly.
On Mythri/Sara:
But Mythri drawing the same inference as point 2 is based only on the partial convo she overheard between Neeraj & Vedika. And it can be easily contested by Sara who knows both sides of the story, Mythri will believe her also.
So, it is completely baffling why Sara-Bri did not correct M in point 2 when thry had the chance.I think Ram telling Sara not to tell Pri that she knew about it all along is more to protect Pri from - feeling even more betrayed, shunning Sara’s support and thus becoming more alone. What good can come from Pri knowing it anyway? In this Ram has shown good EQ.
On Bri:Bri’s modus operandi has always been to immediately diffuse the situation or ‘taalo’ the matter, then figure out what to do. She did the same thing by spilling her drink on annulment papers, knowing they can be redrafted but at least we buy time to address it. For this she is ready to use any out of the box means. So she has done the same by getting Pri talli.
Not condoning it, merely explaining. Whiskey on documents is one thing, getting a lady drunk in public is potentially humiliating to the lady & robs her of agency.
Good points. I agree on all but the last one. Bri got everyone drunk except their friend group.
Ram's EQ is always to the point.
As I wrote earlier, Bri and M should have cleared Ram's image in M's mind. I think they have M's track in mind.
