I’m still in my Kanthony High- rewatching their scenes on loop and each time I do I’m blown away by how good JB and Simone are!

CVD and Shondaland- you’d better not let these 2 go!

My only gripe is that I wish there was more of them just talking, you know? Like in the library scene - they could’ve talked more, and that mud scene during pall mall and while hunting- there were opportunities to put in a heart-to-heart convo between them: just them getting to know each other outside of the crazy sexual tension. Also Kate’s trauma was glossed over - in fact it was changed to just not being able to sleep. And Anthony’s fear-of-dying was changed to fear-of-losing-someone-he-loved which was okay in the end.

Episode 1: The Sharma's arrive. Anthony honestly in S1 was one of my lesser liked Bridgerton's but his character opened well, way more balanced but with an inner chaos to explore.

Kate as a character became way more appealing after her conversation with Lady Danbury. Eloise was being Eloise but Pen was low key annoying in the first episode for me. Edwina is so naive and cute.

Simone plays the elder unmarried possessive older sister role to the tee!

Let's see where this goes.

A lot happened in the first episode, good pace and introductions!

Things I Liked :

• EDWINA! She's better than the book Edwina. She's not docile and has a significant part to play in the story. Outdid herself in Ep-6.
• Anthony + Violet + Edmund FBs. I loved how they incorporated that in the show. We weren't given much of it in the book.
• THE FIRST MEET. I cannot get over it in million lifetimes. Kate goes "Oh Baap Re!" and I'd be lying if I said I understood it the first hand, had to replay LMAO.
• Each one of Kate's emotional monologues.
• THE BANTER. Period.
• Anthony loosing his breath after catching Kate's eyes in the poetry scene. That was greatttt.
• Lady D giving Kate back on her philosophy of life! I liked it! Almost maternal.
• Ed confused in Pall Mall. Book things >>>>
• Every one of Violet + Anthony scenes.
• That little snippet of Anthony going blank in the forest during the hunt when Kate pulls her gown up to cross. Lol. Chemistry. Chemistry. CHEMISTRY!!
• ANTHONY IN THE SCENE HE SAVES KATE.
• Anthony in the next second after Violet tells Kate is awake. JB nailed that breaking down!
• GARDENSSS. Lol. Stupefied really.
• LAKE SCENE.
• You're the Bane of my existence!
• Wedding Alter scene was done magnificently. Camera angles were FAB.
• Kathony in the closet.
• I enjoyed the K3G music actually DID NOT feel out of order. I am surprised.
  
• The personal ball of Bridgertons + Sharmas + Lady D! My hearttttt.
• The similarity trope between Kathony. Doing everything for everyone before them.
• HAND STUFF.
• Anthony+Gregory scene in the last episode. Veryyyy fatherly. Teared up.

Things I DID NOT Like :

• FEATHERINGTON BS. Need I say more?!
• Them completely eliminating Kate's trauma from her past- thunderstorms and father's death included.
• Violet and Daphne hounding El.
• TOO LESS KATHONY FOR ME LMAO.
• Kate being S1 Anthony in the Ball and sparring with Lady D! A little too harsh? Maybe.
• El after episode 1. UNBEARABLE.
• TOO MUCH OF PEN + COLIN + EL. Simply too much, it was unbearable by later episodes.
• THE QUEEN.
• Anthony sending Dorset to Kate. Ughh. Whyyyyyy? I was hurt.
• Very Less Newton! 😭
• Them tweaking the library scene. They could have used more.💔
  
• Them taking it to the wedding alter.
• Robbing us off the "Who were you picturing?" / "I burn for you!" monologue
• I wanted a little more of Anthony thinking of Kate yk? While on the bed...book readers would know what I am talking about!

Things I didn't understand :

• Need for this much Featherington when they already had sub-plot of Lady W!
• Theo Sharpe ??!! Whyyyyy???
• The finger gesture Anthony does in last dance?? *puts out three turns to four*
• KATHANI SHARMA???!! Kyaaaa???
