Yes. The count keeps decreasing in official file. Now waiting when it’d be declared an accident. 🤢

So that they were burnt alive is not important but whether it is a accident or not, is more important?

Just to defend TMC? And state is run by TMC. Not quite easy to trust official file. Even post poll violence was neglected.

Well, she said nothing wrong. I'm a Bengali and i wouldn't want West Bengal to become another Bangladesh where Hindus and their religion are constantly under attack. And that's what is going to happen if it undergoes a demographic change. So yes, no sensible person would want that.

The truth is not always politically correct.

I am from West Bengal. My city has more of M population than H. Couple of years back during the BJP sponsored riot, the son of our main mosque head Imaam (not exactly sure what they are called) was killed by hindu rioters. Imaam called for a special gathering to ask M bros to keep calm and not take this personally, and that no one should retaliate to their H bros post the attack.

You must have heard the incident, it was well published in local newspaper. I am proud to belong to my city. Despite heavy M population, there was no riot in my state until last few yrs. Hope people can see who is destroying the harmony. If BJP and their supporters are in rise, that’s when we should worry about Hindus. Bengal is famous for Violent politics, it will remain so thanks to the CM we have. That is a complete different issue than communal riots, I hope you realize that.

I'm speaking about the kind of incidents that are likely to happen if the demographics change. In Bangladesh, just a few days ago there was an attack on an ISKON temple. During Durga Puja, more than 20 Durga Puja pandals were vandalized. Attacks on Hindu-owned businesses and property are things which happen throughout the year. The situation is not good at all.

I think this is what Arnavfluffy meant when she said, "I don't want to be ruled by the followers of Allah". West Bengal is still a Hindu majority state. The day this is no longer the case, Hindus of West Bengal will have a lot to worry about. That's what I'm saying. And Mamata is known for her appeasement of Muslim fundamentalists for the sake of vote bank (not real progress of Muslims, mind you). There's a reason BJP has been able to make such huge inroads in West Bengal.

Btw are you from Basirhat? There was a riot a few years ago in this region.

For TMC it is. That’s how the Corona death count is also very low. No one had corona, people died due to the ‘side effect’ symptoms of Corona after all.

I am from Asansol. The reason BJP gained support in Bengal is because of the appeasement politics of TMC. 100% correct.

We need to figure out how to come out of this loop. BJP is not the solution that I can guarantee. May be a party which doesn’t encourage communal discussion at all. I miss Buddhababu, not his party though. But he was good. Change should come from top leadership.

Sad bengalis dont have much option. 😔

My posts are getting deleted.

I guess the lords here have their own agenda.

Buddhababu was a nightmare. Just think about Nandigram and Singur. Also, the party needed to go since it has become putrid and stagnant. And Mamata was the only option back then. But still, he was eons better than Jyoti Basu, who led Bengal into this quagmire in the first place, destroyed primary education and blamed all lack of development on 'funds from the Centre'.

I wish we had someone like Bidhan Chandra Roy.

And those lines are -

People can google for the complete poem and check for themselves why some people may have problem with the above lines.

I've found the translation of the lines you posted:

When from this God's earth, all falseness (icons) will be removed. Then we of clean hearts condemned by zealots those keepers of faith, we will be invited to that altar to sit and govern. When crowns will be thrown off and thrones will be overturned. Only Allah's name will remain.

Decide for yourself!

As others have noticed, the problematic parts have been cut out in this version, which make things confusing.

This 2.0 version of the song is not particularly offensive, but the original definitely is.

Lines can be interpreted in many ways. How do u think an !slamic extremist would interpret it?

And why are icons or idols (buth) falseness?

And why will only Allah's name remain? Why not Rama, shiva or Krishna's? Or is Rama or Shiva same as Allah?
