Fateh has this natural fighting instinct. He fights and take stand for the people he love. Even when he let go Tejo, he fought his inner instinct to set her free instead of keeping her tied in the toxic marriage, he took a silent stand for her even at that time. He was constantly battling this inner instinct to keep himself away from Tejo, but, when he learnt that Tejo still loves him lot and then there was no looking back.

You know people say that his redemption was too quick and washing utensils driving etc was not a big deal, however you have to be completely obtuse that doing chores was not The Redemption. It was the fact that despite knowing how much he loves her, misses her, and that he will live with her memories forever because let's be real that is no match of Tejo everyone else will fall short. He still let her go. And the price he was willing to pay for that was everything and he still didn't back off... if there was even a shred of EMA Fateh he would have broke up with Jasmine and let the family bring them together.
