Thats what made him a great anti hero. His dedication towards making imlie soar higher because she had potential just made him that much more attractive. In the previous shows I mentioned the FLs were love interests without much focus on their personal growth or career growth. However here while we had mandir collisions and rude first meetings jaise cliches, we had some beautiful moments like Aru teaching inlie how to eat with chopsticks, how to drive, how to own her mistakes and correct them, how to face her fears, how to stand up for herself, how to fight. He didn't become her crutch, he became the second wheel in her life which gave support and made it easier for her to move forward.

Aside from Dil Dosti Dance' Swaron couple, Arylie is the only onscreen couple that has enticed me till now. I really hope the makers do not go the TRP aunty route and keep the essence of Arylie intact. They need to keep their individuality intact like before while at the time assimilate their souls to create the fire and passion of a couple deeply in love. There have been enough toxic relationships on ITV. We have already seen two in this show itself so maybe this is time for them to show what a healthy loving relationship looks like. What it looks like when a couple is love, trusts each other beyond words, support each through downs and celebrate others' achievements like their own. They can really go somewhere big with this if they just do it right.

@bold: Therein is the issue JJ! ASR has been set up as such a unique, non toxic male lead, that the forced marriage is putting a bit of a damper on the whole thing. I also have a bone to pick with him not wanting "explain" himself to Imlie. I get not wanting to give excuses or reasons, but when the woman that you're marrying is heartbreakingly asking you over and over to just reassure her that her trust wasn't misplaced, then just answer the fecking question, y' know?

I am pissed with Imlie for so many reasons but I can understand that little doubt that creeps up unaware. All it needs it a bit of confirmation from the person that you know you trust and that doubt goes away.

It's frustrating to see this little thing become such a sore point of communication for them both.

the story has so much chance even with trp aunty interest cos imlie as rathore bahu will not get any less FL work to do like tv shows want. they can show so mcuh usual story line like other show without killing ASR or imlie bond or character. she need to help him come out of dark n the sundar-arpita story will be big clash cos ASR will not accept any man to come in arvind place so imlie will fight for them with him i think.. dont know but the sundar-arpita story have big potential.. then usual story like aryan losing business cos of someone revenge or someone trying to harm image of aryan for revenge n imlie can be typical tv bahu that time n their slow love story is there only. even satyakam angle is missing dont know if they will shwo satyakam link to arvind factory worker 🤔 again clash between imlie n aryan... but who know what they plan

I completely agree with you guys. Her behavior is more like a toddler. I want the apple but I want it cut a certain way otherwise I am going to spit it on your face and blame you for ruining my life. (True story happening right now in my household 😜)

We have all noticed how she feels absolutely okay and comfortable touching aryans face to check for temperature or if he hit it somewhere or not. How many of us would feel comfortable touching our bosses’s face or a friends face like that (ok lots of friends I would be ok with doing that but we would have shared history and years before I go randomly touching them) you wouldn’t. She feels that she can do that with a level of forcefulness where she even trumps his agency when he moves back and says what are you doing. (I am not conveniently ignoring the grab by the hands and pull her close business that ASR does either) physical touch is where awareness starts and these both feel that they can touch each other as the trust level is so significant. She has never taken his grab and pull the wrong way like she is in any danger.
Now coming to the current scenarios. She wants something. Doesnt know what. Maybe the apple needs to be sliced a certain damn way for her to be satisfied. Imlie want aryans playfulness. His attention. His Saath. His gentleness. His care and comfort but doesn’t want the rishta. She is even upset when he doesn’t call her his friend.
the clarity isn’t there. And that’s frustrating the crap out of us. Her pendulum swing of I will put haldi and I will let you color me comes with that swing of emotions she is feeling. Balancing the rakshas and dirty with color comments. Maybe it’s pretty okay for a 19 year old to feel so conflicted and confused. But it’s not sitting well with other any of us.
