I feel that bruise will play some role going forward. Because it was shown 3-4 times for the audience not to miss it.
1) Either it’s a concussion that ak will have effects after - may be she will faint during Hopi celebration but I don’t see how this will effect the story but it will be parallel of ak accident after mehendi. We will just see a concerned abhimanyu for ak and angry abhimanyu towards ar. That’s why abhi’s radar was on high alert since it will show major effects later on. or

2) to prove that ak was sitting on passenger side and not driving the car. (As Satya mentioned since the bruise is on left side) This can happen to show truth if ak is taking blame or ar is lying and putting the blame on ak.
