They can even salvage this honestly still some ways. I can give you a scenario right now, so imagine pre the pheras aryan tells imlie he’ll take the ones he has to but when it’s her turn it’d be her choice she can pretend to faint and they’ll postpone and find a way out. He only tells imlie the pretend to faint and we’ll wiggle out of this part.

So now when the pheras are happening, he’s got a doctor invited too and gotten him in the plan who’ll give some bullsh*t medical reason (chalta hai itv mein) to why imlie can’t go through with anything stressful right now and delay the wedding. The plan is set. His part of the pheras are done, but when it’s imlie’s turn to faint.... plot twist, she doesn’t!! She goes ahead with the wedding! Aryan confused and kinda upset on her behalf but mostly confused, we’re left in suspense as to why imlie did this and later a flashbacks shows us how she wants to repay the rathore’s by saving them! (Since she has a saviour complex let’s put it to a better use).

Saving them from whom you say? Baby doll and Badi maa! Who she kept taunting aryan over throughout the wedding as his perfect fit and to go marry her (meanwhile getting uncomfortable and kinda mad if aryan jokingly agrees, let’s put a little imlie jealousy too I like the idea of it 😂) but some time before the wedding she had heard badi maa and baby doll say how they don’t care at all about rathores and want to destroy them and take their wealth ( putting these two to a better use too) and how they have figured this wedding might not go through and they’ll make their move right after imlie leaves or some plan to kick her out. After overhearing this, imlie recounts what narmada and arpita had done for her (ten times more than her soul sasu 🙄) and her saviour/hero complex takes over. And she marries for real, only for rathore’s safety but doesn’t believe in the marriage. And then they can continue with however they want her to fall in love and all.

We can also have an imlie faints and aryan tells her he’ll take care of the explanations and to run but when he’s about to, she makes a dramatic reentrance for the last phera after she overhears the vamps and all. I mean there are many possibilities to keep aryan safe from all ooc-ness if they just try 😭

This is actually a really really really good scenario. Fits with everything and specially with the micromanager and planner ASRs character where he needs time to put his ducks in a row is essential buying that time with the "fake marriage" drama and because he knows AKT will propose straight away.

This would be fantastic - now how do We get the Writer to Look at this?????

PS since some one mentioned Imlie ITV bingo card. I have a few suggestions

1 Aru making imlie wear her payal

2 Aru drinking bhaang waali thandai on holi and this time Imlu has to take care of him and just like she requested for Aru to sing lori when she was drunk, Aru asks her to do something as well like stroke his hair or something i dont know

3. Aru-imlu feeding each other family ke dabaav me kyunki jhoota khaane se pyaar badhta hai

4. Aru gifting imlu saari arpita didi ke kehne pe and acting ki pehena hai to pehno waise bhi jungli hi lagogi but then tadofying her later when she is all dolled up

5. Aru tying imlu's blouse dori while arguing with her. Just like that PD patti baandhne waala scene. He distracts her while tying the dori so she is not uncomfortable

6. Imlie doing some stupid stuff near the pool. Aru comes from office and she accidentally throws water on him and he pushes her into the pool. Cue jaaniya with some pool wet romance

7. Aru sleeping peacefully in morning. Imu comes out of bathroom and as she is drying her hair droplets falling on Aru's face

8. Imlu fasting for Aru like she did for akt without aru knowing. But this time she doesnt realise that he fasted for her too. Arpi dii notices and make both of them break fast together and feed each other

9. Office party me all black me angst waala tashan waala hot dance. Imlu in black saree

10. Both of them going to a meeting. Mrs lambi gaadi gets punctured. They start walking on khaali sadak. (Hom jo chalne lage playing). Imlu gets hurt. Aru picks her up and carries her.
