Actually Ar is insecure of her position in house from childhood. She is selfish always but knowing Ak kv from first wife Naira and she being the best can't be tolerated by her as her mom is second and poor in all means. Though none compared it's her inner insecurity which made her this way jealous for Ak and unable to see her happiness. Ar will be happy her inner satisfaction comes when Ak is in trouble. I don't know sisters this way but she is that and they all know her nature but love her as she is their own..Neil took rights calling her chipkali but she never objected. She told her to acceot mistakes and moveon but she did half on her own..whatever an achor she is needed in her life will be Neil and he guides her perfectly showing her where she is wrong and how she should mend it. We all don't want Ar to be super good as we are habituated to her jealous nature and khaands. Let her not be evil and pour venom out. And slightly grey is best for yrkkh style.
Thanks Mehersudha for the tag, Agree slightly grey Arohi is OK but I don't want the life of an entire character to spoil because of their foolishness.
Superiority and inferiority complex are ambivalent qualities.
If there's Superiority complex in someone they are bound to feel inferior within.
Arohi always felt inadequate without attention of family members, she accepted she is inferior to AK when her Nani instigated her at a young age and she has accepted her Nani's words.
Hence she always tried to portray herself as Superior to AK, she countered her inner turmoil, by being the best in studies π©βπ«and competing in a non-existent competition with AK, she always felt like a failure within because of values mismatch with others around her.
Ex:AR got 1st prize but AK got appreciation for being kind.
Finally when reality π₯dawns upon her like the wedding fiasco, she doesn't knowπ± how to accept it other than putting the blame on AK.
I personallyπ€«had a somewhat similar life experience, hence can understand such characters, they can't be completely redeemed and better left slightly grey. Yes such sisters do exist in real life and they need not be step siblings.
AK the ms.goody two-shoes also cant be reformed but marriage is that one bond which can transform a girl into a woman and can change priorities. AK always wanted to find her true self and love about herself but her problem is she is too busy solving others problems and especially unwarranted responsibility of AR will get offloaded with marriage.
