Main problem abt this show is most character are used as plot device rather than focusing on that particular character arc till now only Rathore's are exception as they are new
I was talking about this with another friend, both of us only started after Aru's entry in December, but what we both thought was fascinating is how the Tripathis are just.....lamp posts who don't do anything? I can't imagine what it was like when there were spouses, another brother, and kids (I know with COVID a lot of that changed) but SO many characters and very rarely do they even have lines.
BTV isn't always better than Hindi or vice versa, but BTV at least gives all eighty three (I'm obviously being facetious here, though one show did genuinely have like 18 people in one family including the lead couple and about 10-12 were in each scene towards the beginning) family members something to do and people go to work and aren't on every episode and it feels realistic like in actual joint families. Here they have the Tripathis as this awkward Greek chorus not realizing they're partly to blame for their son's mess.

Majority of ITV shows are like this, everyone but the Main Leads and Villains are just background props, barely adding any value to the story.

that's so interesting to me! in BTV most of the time they all have lives outside of just being connected to the leads, like yes there's the quintessential awful mother or father in law and one or more sister/aunt in law figures who suck but they all have other things happening in their own lives too (at least at the start, sometimes as shows get older, the actors will move to other shows so that changes things up a bit), I wonder what makes hindi language serials different in some ways!
